Are Thargoids good guys here?

Some arguers for "Thargoids are the peace-loving, tree-hugging good guys; they don't attack unless provoked" side are forgetting Thargoid Scouts exist and always, 100% of the time, attack human ships on sight. ;-)

  • Should humans stop attacking & interfering with thargoids in any way, leaving them to be, there would be no conflict or war whatsoever
Would they not interfere in my right to jump freely in between systems? I don't think so.
Would they not scan my ship like it was their plastic doll without my consent? I don't think so either.

So war it is then.

But Scouts weren't always present. They're the war drones, doing their job in an active warzone. They weren't used until we declared war on them with Operation Andronicus. Their response once the war has already been escalated is not justification for the initial escalation in the past.

Everything points to Thargoids just simply reacting to human expansion. The galaxy is too huge to be fighting over little balls of rock. If we left their systems and the ones they frequent alone, we'd be fine. But nooooooooooooooo, we definitely needs amonia worlds. So vital for human life.

Often when I jump into a Scout signal source there are a pair of human ships before any Thargoids arrive. Radio chatter indicates they are very likely carrying something of Thargoid origin and were ordered to wait at those coordinates. When scouts arrive they immediately jump out. I think the Thargoids are being baited.

It's just that people classify ships as scouts and interceptors, and I don't think that's quite right. I think it's the other way around...
As for the interceptors, it appears that they are not warships.

Oh, I didn't realise those were still in-game. Yeah, hard to see any other interpretation from that.

and then, even though I am NOT a sympathizer

WHO is harvesting Meta Alloy?

WHO does the Meta-Alloy actually belong to?

No matter who started it or how or why.

The continual harvesting of the Thargoid grown Meta-Alloy by humans is reason for them to attack.

Considering that it is not going to ever stop and there is no conversing.
Its up to each person to discover if there is enough reason to fight an alien that we steal from.

inb4 salvation's big breakthrough is "holy guys stop mucking around with the barnacles"

Or maybe "hey, I invented a tool to extract the alloys that isn't a gun."
