CQC Are There Known Hacks in CQC That We Know Of?

I'm just glad that I apparently don't seem to run into nearly as many hackers as you do. (So far, zero, at least that I noticed). So for me, it's only a minor problem, and although I hope the situation gets improved I have a hard time prioritizing it over requests like "fix the broken missions" and "lobby chat in CQC please."

Well, i also have to say that some players developed some serious skill the very time the new hacks were mentioned here in the forum....just saying

It is not that it is a "big problem for me" but rather "something that will (already?) destroy CQC entirely"... There are very few players in it, in part due to hacking (directly related to matchmaking as well).
The main game is reputation-damaged beyond repair for me - ever changing rules, appearing/disappearing exploits that let few "earn" billions in a few days while honest players have to grind for years to get that far, hacks that let some get to Sag *A in a single jump, and yes, broken missions and rank progression, etc.
CQC has (had?) a chance to be clean from the main game problems - but alas it is getting as damaged as the main game - ranking, K/D can be easily manipulated, every good player is a hacking suspect and there are only few of us who play it regularly. And there is not much content in CQC - unlike the main game you can't just get away from PvP and do something else..

As to myself, re-appearance of hackers makes it more fun for me - more challenge to stay alive. ;)

I guess I disagree that hackers are what will kill CQC. Apathy is what will kill CQC: not enough people interested.

I kind of hope that CQC ends up sold as a standalone $5-$10 package, hopefully attracting more people specifically interested in it. I'm also hopeful that the tournament draws more hopefuls, and gives them a reason to stick around long enough to appreciate the game beyond "that's a nice ten minute diversion."

If you have a CS Ticket open, PM me the ticket ID(s) and I will check into the report(s). thanks!

I submitted reports maybe 40 times (30 for CQC) over past 6 month, many multiple for the same users from in-game menu. It did not give me any ID(s) (it is possible I missed something)
And I've been pretty verbose about the issue on this forum...

Tell me what I supposed to do - report it somewhere else?

And it is not necessarily the issue of ID or specific player, but rather issue of your strategy. You can't keep answering a valid question by saying "we are working on it" any more. We've been hearing this answer since beta, but hacking is still here, even more than before.
It is tolerable in the main game (you can just go to solo or fly to a different system) but completely unacceptable in the CQC

I'm guessing Brett C is talking about reporting here rather than in game - https://support.frontier.co.uk/open.php?topic=37

Lets you attach video evidence via YouTube and gives you a ticket number.

I have reported someone with a invincible shield here before and got the ticket answered pretty quickly.
Of course they could not tell me the result but that is not surprising. Still only time I have seen hacking in 100 hours of CQC.

To the guy who likes cats, but not accepts private messages:
Here is my reply

I do not really care about "hacking in solo". Only in PvP situations. And especially in CQC.

Boredom of the mindless grind and lack of the "real economy" makes "hacking to get credits" benign in my opinion. (And easily countered by Frontier (if they wanted it) by leaving "Robigo smuggling" un-nerfed)
But using hacks to gain advantage in PvP competition is plain evil.

BTW the script kiddies run substantial risk of making their PCs part of botnet if not worse (with all that obfuscated Lua, that downloads another Lua while running as Admin).

Hi,

I saw a player with a "bizarre" lag which seamed to be controlled. I thought it was a connection problem but now I have doubts.

Google "Lag switch" and prepare to be amazed/disgusted..

Thank you Kossack.

I saw and I m justed disgusted.

I m not going to stop playing CQC because of this rats. I ll work my skill to beat them in any case one day. It is humiliating for a cheater to be beaten by a regular player.

Hmm lag switch, that might explain a few thing's I've seen. :(

Seriously not impressed with that.

But please report any suspicious behaviour you see in the game so FD can investigate. The more times a player gets reported the more likely they will get investigated.

And the new type of hacks have been noticed: Ships disappearing when chased... But reappearing in-game a couple seconds later. Pretty interesting...

I think the vast majority of cheating accusations are incorrect. I saw this thread earlier and dismissed it however after another session of CQC play I have little doubt that there are at least a speed hack and one that allows the ability to see/track targets that are obscured by asteroids, stations etc.

I went through several matches thinking that there is a possibility that someone was cheating but I always remind myself that most likely they are just very good or having a great match and it is just that moment of frustration that leads to thoughts of cheaters. Just because a pilot is level 1 does not mean they don't have a ton of PvP experience from the main game. I continued playing matches and kept an eye out to see if I could observe, in a cold, rational and objective fashion anything that I could not explain in any other way, such as skill, luck, better modules, lag, glitches etc. and not just once but several times. Unfortunately I did experience/observe several instances that could only be explained by cheating. There is always the possibility that there is some other explanation but I am as certain as I can be without a confession that at least two pilots were cheating tonight. Played MW4, MWO, EVE and SW Galaxies extensively at various times as well as the odd bout of Battlefield and others over the years however this is the first game that I have even suspected let alone been convinced that I have encountered cheats in.

I think experience tells us any competitive online game is going to see cheaters, particularly when money is on the table. I've not played nearly enough CQC to really spot anyone obviously cheating. My area of complaint for DM is that people can queue as a team, so you end up playing against a premade who are working together. Which is why I think the team games are much more enjoyable.

Ugh.. The lengths some people will go to.. :(

Not sure if this one a bug or a hack. But I saw a stream on twitch where power-ups were always available to the streamer - no re-set delay whatsoever. Just pop back on right away even if somebody else already picked them up. The guy was happily using stealth and shields non-stop...

PM me of this guy's stream please.

If the hacks arent there you can bet the scripters are working overtime to get them working with the announcement of the 100k CQC tournament. If they are working then FD just needs to cancel the tourney and just give the money to the hack sites as thats where it will be going anyway.

we've been told the tournament will be monitored.

anyway, a money prize is the worst idea ever, not just because of cheaters. frontier should have learnt something from the 'elite' contest fiasco.

there's a thread on another site with posts only a few days old where they claim to be using 400% shields, as well as -50% damage caused by other players....took me 2 mins to find it...
