I'm the odd one out, never have more than one ship at a time

I have 5 core ships I use often.
That doesn't mean the rest are useless though. Often when Im out and about away from my home system, I just buy whatever I fancy for use wherever I am. Doing this allowed me to try out ships I otherwise wouldn't have bothered with.
I hope all you PS4 players enjoy Elite on launch day. I was lucky with Xbox. I only saw Elite in store during GPP purely by accident. There was no wait for me.

All the modules in the Sidey are loaned, means you can't sell them for cash.

On the other hand - get out of the starter system, participate in one CG (one tonne of cargo or one kill will do, and I sincerely hope that FD has lined up a couple of nice CGs for the PS4 start), and you'll usually get a guaranteed reward of 100 kCr. On a good CG that reaches its goal, usually 1 MCr basically just for showing up.

CGs usually start and end on a thursday so whatever today's new ones are will be the ones live next Tuesday.

You sometimes do need to put in more than the absolute minimum to guarantee a reward.

Yeah, if this weeks CG is going to Colonia based, i'll be peeved lol.

I did my first ever CG not long after i'd got my Adder on Xbox ages ago and hauled about 240 tons of cargo to a system near Obotrima, (i forget which one) which got me into the top 50% and i got about 7 million credits! For a new player it was like winning the lottery, now its not much at all

CGs usually start and end on a thursday so whatever today's new ones are will be the ones live next Tuesday.

Today's CG will probably be pretty much done by Tuesday - and at least those people who are completely new to ED will probably need a day or two learning how to get their ships out of a station and back on a landing pad , and despite the beta testing, I'm not overly confident that releasing the PS4 crowd onto the servers will go without any problems.

So I'd rather think the timing looks much better for next week's CG. But yes - a rare trade CG plus system security BH should go down well. So we can do the Colonia CG this week, and ship Hutton Mugs to LHS 3447 next

I was lucky and the first one I tried was a rare trade and about 240 tons got me into the top 10% and about 30 mil not including the profit from the goods lol it paid for an outfitted asp

Rare trades cgs are easy to compete even in the early ships, a cobra mkiii is perfect

This week's cg is a rare trade at Lave should be able to do a few runs on xbox over the weekend then a few in a cobra on ps4 lol

Made up my mind. Will have both Diamondback Scout and Type 9 Heavy.
Will be able to perform two jobs at least(explorer and trader).
