Ascendency update delayed "....release date of Ascendancy to the week commencing 28th"

Do you not know what a week is?

Interesting
I'm saying it's vague. Like, "Week of the 28th" could mean any time between the 28th and Nov. 1 and people are already saying it's the 28th for certain, while the post does not clarify a specific date.

Which is....... not good. It doesn't bode well that it may not be delayed further.

Imagine now the 28th comes and goes, no update happens and then people get ed.

Intentionally so, I expect.

They'll probably be hoping to go for the 29th since they seem to like Tuesday releases, but want to give themselves a bit more time in case the fix turns out to be tricky.

No, there's certainly the chance that something else comes up.

(For a feature they were probably originally hoping to release in early 2023, then summer 2024, then September 2024 ... getting later a week at a time is progress)

There's a limit to what Frontier can do about people misreading the actual text. (Though once they're back to being able to have confidence in a specific date, they'll probably announce that in an update)

It is the forums people will get upset no matter what happens.

Release on time but bugged someone will be upset.
Release later with those bugs fixed someone will be upset.

Week commencing means anyday from that Monday to the following Sunday, now it is highly unlikely to be the weekend so Monday to Friday but for reasons it is most likely to be Tuesday-Thursday depending how long it takes to do what they need to do.

IMHO, then they should have stated "The Update will be released sometime between Oct. 28 and Nov 1". The language they used could, and is obviously, being misread setting an incorrect expectation. Granted, it's amongst people who cannot read but still could be more clear.

Release the snake!

Could not care less about Assendersies.
