I buffed my T9 into a Cutter. The T9 is a hateful beast. Sure it earnt me a lorra dough, but at a cost to my sanity. Which was on thin ice to begin with. Theres very little a T9 can do if interdicted by powerful ships. The point of a T9 is to trade, putting huge shields on is pointless if it reduces your cargo capacity. Run them light, run them cheap and maximise cargo. Submit and run is your only option. If your lucky you escape, if not then get used to the insurance screen. Use it to earn money and expect to lose one now and again. I lost several but it earnt me enough money to consider the loss as an occupational hazard.

I sold it as soon as I could do the Cubeo shuffle and bought a Cutter. Although now Im Elite, I dont need to trade anymore and have a trade Cutter without purpose. She might make an explorer I guess, I just dont know what to do with her now. Especially as Ive fallen for The Asp's charm.

That is assuming everyone who fly's cargo ships are back & forth to the same stations trying to max out cargo. I can't remember the last time I did that, except for CG's. Am making more money than ever in heavily shielded cargo ships.

Submit and run is not the only option, in fact it will often get you killed, it's slightly worrying when someone who admits to dying often, starts giving advice on survival and trading :/

I use a different browser for gaming activities that clears history on exit. Lol
If/when she asks what that one is for, I'll just say "some websites don't work on chrome!".

I try to avoid raising any suspicion in case she starts thinking I'm cheating or something daft.

Actually that's not far off, realistically speaking.
IMHO it could really need any buff to enhance its survivability it can get.

I might have another look at the Type-9 when Engineers hit.
Who knows, maybe they can provide what the Ship is currently lacking.

Any big cargo ship used properly will earn it's rebuy cost in under an hour of use.

What a strange and alien concept! How can you dare to even think the OP it's not entitled to fly a weak ship in a dangerous game and even worse to cut into his profit and don't fit shields, boosters etc only cargo racks for more credits?

You probably can when you're dying on top of a profitable route or mission spawn. But you can't earn lots of cash everywhere.

Sorry, I'm still not getting your point mate. it takes 15 minutes to cross the bubble in the slowest of the cargo ships. A single run on a normal route takes 8/12 mins.

I shoot small ships, wings or bigger ones i wake out.

Anyway my T9 got stored away, using Cutter now when not traiding i use Conda.

15 mins for crossing the bubble? Are you sure? So much for personal bias, I guess. I got quite fed up with all the jumping.
