General Assign Fire groups to Cockpit modes

Assigning combat fire groups to combat mode and assigning other fire groups to exploration mode would dramatically reduce the amount of clutter you have to cycle through while switching weapons while in the middle of combat. Alternatively, you could just remove the warning to switch fire modes while stacking exploration mode fire groups on top of combat mode fire groups.

Here are other threads of folks complaining about this problem.

OH GOD YES. PLEASE.

Also - or instead - can we have an option to disable all the

GIGANTIC TEXT POPUPS

which cover up the upper right panel anytime anything happens ? Can we have:

an option
to just show
one more single line of text
in the feed
instead of:

A GIANT OBSTRUCTIVE LOW INFORMATION MESSAGE

which covers up a lot of the information I actually want to see?

It’s particularly annoying when using the FSS and I don’t perfectly center my target on a planet, resulting in

ADAPTIVE ZOOM FAILED

which lingers for waaay too long and covers UP the information about the planet I am scanning.

Could that maybe be a normal sized line of text just like all the other status updates in that same feed? No? Not even as an option? Please?

As far as I'm concerned, the whole point of cockpit modes is to be able to "double stack" the binds and not need as many fire groups, but then I have the annoying INCORRECT COCKPIT MODE blinking at me all the time. Stop saying that and display the information I actually want to see. I know what I'm doing and would like to disable that message.

A setting "display cockpit mode warnings" could be easily added to the same screen where the turret fire mode, crime signalling, and the lag pursuit/lead pursuit targetting modes etc ... are configured. But hiding those warnings would remove a bit of clarity, which is likely to cause frustration (like those experimental guardian turret hardpoints which silently behave as fixed, unless there is a second CMDR in your ship)

Better to have separate fire groups. Maybe with 2 distinct screens ? Or a single screen, with blue columns of squares for exploration mode binds, orange columns of circles for combat mode binds, and nothing or a greyed X when the module can't be activated in the corresponding cockpit mode.
The same mechanism as today could be used to insert/delete a new fire group column.
Squares vs circles for accessibility/color blind players, and to be consistent with the main HUD shapes (straight segments vs arcs).

Wireframe model anyone ?
