Asynchronous SpaceWarp 2.0

I have my graphics set appropriately for my system, that's all. I don't ask for more than my system can offer. I'm seldom, if ever, below 90 fps outside of a station. Inside it drops below 90, and pretty much stays there, that's fine with me. I really don't care about how it "looks/performs" inside/around a station, I want it fluid where it counts, outside, in combat. So, no Dash, ASW disabled, and old drivers.

I've tried endless combinations of drivers, Dash, and ASW until I'm blue in the face, and they all induce stuttering to some degree, so I've found a combination that works great at my end.

To be honest, I find Dash to be the biggest culprit contributing to stuttering, or overall poor performance. With it off, Ed runs much better. I just simply don't like the artifacts of using ASW, it looks horrible, so it gets removed/disabled as well.

I thought CORE 2.0 and as such Dash were now (or very soon to be) the main branch of the Oculus runtime? If you have Dash disabled at present I wouldn't expect it to stay that way for more than a few days or weeks at most....

Fair enough.
For me I like some clarity and a few (nearly all) Bells and whistles. So I run settings (and let's be honest mostly hmd/ ss is where you the performance changes for better or worse). Still getting 90 most of the time but Res sites and stations are always going to pound your system but that's fine with me because I don't play there all the time but I still get the benifts of a nice clear(ish) picture with settings up

Yes, I see that. Perhaps because I haven't opted into the betas I'm not seeing it yet. Still on 1.30.

I found when running my GTX 970 that if ASW was turning on and off constantly it would introduce artifacting. If I set graphics settings so that when ASW kicked in, it stayed in until I cleared the station or planet surface and the artifacts were greatly reduced. This allowed better graphics overall and was a good compromise between performance and graphics.

I haven't done a lot of experimenting with my GTX 1080, but I get so much better performance and graphics now that I'm quite satisfied. Heck, I went ice mining yesterday and it ran without a glitch, something I couldn't do at all with the GTX 970, even on low settings.
