I've been looking forward to this one, especially since it's open world and set in the UK's lake district (y)

It's available for preload on Gamepass or pre-order on Steam (if anyone does the pre-order thing any more)...release date 27th of March, playable 3 days earlier if you buy or order the deluxe edition. I generally like Rebellion Games stuff; Sniper Elite franchise and all that, so being an open world post nuclear apocalypse title from them, I'll more than likely pre-order Atomfall on that basis.

From what I've seen after following the development for a bit, it's akin to Stalker 2 with bits of Fallout 4 set in the lake district around the Windscale nuclear power station, not quite the UK's version of Chernobyl in 1957...but could have been. :)

Yup. This has been on my list for a while, and it looks like an interesting mix of elements, so I'm hoping that they gel nicely. The premise and location all seem just enough out of the norm to have me dithering about whether to just jump in on day #1, or give a month to settle down (as would be sensible)....

...aah..... who am I kidding... it'll be a FOMO day #1 purchase, as was STALKER.

I was really looking forward to Atom fall. Will Rebellion listen to th feedback on combat etc or just ignore it? If people wanted Fallout then just play fall out.

Hopefully...the AI are pretty stupid at the moment. Enjoying the game for what it is though...although it can be frustrating with the quests sending you from one end of the map to t'other all the time. The persistent and unavoidable attacks by flocks of mental birds, bees and rats can be annoying too.
