Attacked & destroyed in SOLO MODE

I am way too lazy, my reflexes are those of a turtle, and I am not competitive enough to do any kind of racing. In real life, I drive like the old man I probably am. But it is awesome what you can do.

Personally, I have done loads of loops of shame even at seven seconds. Six is pushing it for me. But I have used gravity assist sucessfully now and then.
I myself have the lighting reflexes of a striking slug 🥃

Recently I have found cat reflexes are faster than a snake so they can easily dodge a striking snake, which explains why I have scratches all over my arms from the cat playing! Mind you a Sloth could probably do the same these days now my reflexes are shot, and have you seen their claws? I think I'll stick with cats for pets!

Been playing 5 years and thought 7 seconds was chancing it.

Every day’s a school day.

You can shave a few more seconds off at the very end if you get the timing just right. But it still requires you to start by approaching more or less head-on at 6s ETA, so it's not as efficient as gravity braking can be. But it requires less concentration, and becomes muscle memory after a while. I do this all the time now without really thinking about it. If I was to learn a faster method at this point, I'd probably keep forgetting it.

Instead of dropping your speed as soon as you hit 7s, pause for a fraction of a second then drop your speed. If you do it right it will settle into 6s.
A second is long. Very long. I usually hit the point where it is almost ticking over to 6 reliably, so almost literally 7.0 seconds. If you hit it as soon as you see a seven, it is really more like 8 seconds, i.e. 7.8 or 7.9 seconds. I think I can push it to 6.5 seconds, but then I have to pay attention to my approach, which I usually don't. And so I regularly do a loop of shame even at 7.x seconds :).
