Autumn DLC Speculation

There are very few remaining species from Europe that would be useful for me personally (already got my most wanted European species, the fallow deer), but even so there's still a lot more from Europe I'd like to see in game. My optimal animal pack setup for Europe would be something like this:
  • Alpine Marmot
  • Red Fox
  • European Pine Marten
  • Wild Boar
  • Red Deer
  • Chamois
  • Mute Swan
  • Sheltopusik [E]

In a (more or less unlikely) scenario where Frontier returns to doing animal packs for the missing continents, I'd want South America and Oceania to get their dues first, but after that I'd be happy to see Europe get properly filled out (and Africa too of course).

I’ve been looking at dates, days of the week and times the last 3 pack announcements… all times are BST.

JUNE 2022
  • Pot painting stream announced 2pm on a Monday) with the stream 6pm next day (Tuesday)
  • Conservation Pack DLC announcement at 11am next day (Wednesday)
  • Update announced 11am next day (Thursday)

MARCH 2022
  • Update announced at 2pm (on a Friday)
  • Self care stream announced 11am on following Monday and took place on same day at 5pm
  • Wetlands Pack announced at 2pm (next day on Tuesday)

DECEMBER 2021
  • Update announced at 2pm on a Monday.
  • Lumi Stream announced at 5pm and held at that time.
  • Europe DLC announced next day (Tuesday) at 2pm.

So no clear pattern in terms of days. Common link is announcement by stream but these announced once the day before and with little notice for the other two. So the Sounds of Summer stream announcement breaks this pattern with more of a lead time.

Who knows what’s going on at this point? If Sounds of Summer is not connected (it’s described in the forum post as being a “standalone album”) and is having its own moment, we may have to wait until next week for news with a later release date towards the latter part of October, or Sounds of Summer is connected in some way (could be that it’s just played whilst teaser type stuff goes on too - similar to what we’ve seen before).

It is hard to imagine dedicating a full live stream to a bunch of musical tracks.
They haven’t said it’s a live stream and doesn’t say anything about ‘join X for…’. It could be that it’s literally a premiere of the music and they just play it through rather than anyone being actually on the stream (with people just being able to make text comments). It says in the tweet that the ‘mix’ will be available on YouTube after the stream rather than the ‘stream’ being available. Would make sense why the Tuesday live stream is still also going ahead.

Many species of antelopes are desired, but too little appreciated and requested, besides the red deer, is the roe deer. Emblematic animal for Europe, besides the wild boar, it is not missing from almost any zoo there. For a franchise player, it is almost impossible to create a European zoo based on the models of those in small towns, which cannot afford to purchase too exotic species. That is why the European brown bear and the Eurasian wolf are also necessary, even if they are relatively identical clones to the species already in the game. You cannot buy in franchise a Himalayan bear or a Grizzly and place it in a European zoo as a European brown bear. It remains for a franchise player a Himalayan bear or a Grizzly. Until the fundamental species for each continent are present in the game, the need to populate a zoo with extremely rare species that are not often present even in large zoos is just a matter of exotic nerdiness.

Oh my goodness, this is completely insane here.
I had so much to read now, you're all crazy.

I don't want to go into too much detail about the past, it would be a bit stupid if no one knew what it was all about.
But I just noticed something:
@Ozian already mentioned it a bit.
Have you ever noticed that all streams have something in common?
The story about Lumi, the "Pictionary", painting the flower pots, the music? - These are all creative "hobbies" Painting, making music, writing stories... I swear, if they bake cookies or model little animals in December, that would be so funny.
The only thing that bugs me about the music stream is that they didn't say "it's a special" stream.
That's why I'm still a bit reserved with my joy, so as not to be disappointed.
However, on the other hand, it makes no sense for music to make such a fuss and bring the forum to mental melting point.

I will definitely be there tomorrow! I'll sit in front of the PC with my blanket and a few cookies and just enjoy the stream (even if that's not my taste in music at all and I don't have any ingame music on while playing #TeamRock 🤟)

We’ll be premiering Planet Zoo: Sounds of Summer on Twitch and YouTube on 28 September at 6PM BST. This is a continuous, 80-minute megamix.

For me, it does sound like it will be just music but that would mean that each musical track is between 6-7 minutes long on average. Is that common for Lo-Fi music? 😣🤔

I agree that it sounds like just music but that doesn’t mean that each track couldn’t announce or hint an animal in some way. I have no idea how long an average Lo-fi track would be but 6-7 min is possible I would’ve thought.

It’s just as possible in franchise as in any other mode. - Some people don’t want to make do with (effectively) clones, which is fine (though I’m happy to) but why is it less possible in Franchise?
I explained clearly: because in the franchise you buy another species, not the one you build your zoo for!
