Haven't the school holidays finished yet?

The little dears can go back to spamming Ddos attacks on Sony and Microsoft servers during their break once again, but at least I can game away in relative peace [yesnod]

Hmm, i guess the CMDR in question is picky then.

I was playing around with a UA in the same instance as Obsidian Orbital, a few CMDR's scanned me, but they left me alone. Click

It really depends on your location as well. It seems generally while griefers are in all games, if you are American and thus match make with mostly other american's, there are significantly more, and that's the general vibe I get from American friends as well, culture thing I guess.

If you're going to try to slander someone's name, atleast have the decency to provide evidence, and make sure you have the right person.

Well, he didn't slander anyone's name because he didn't name anyone. So, there's that.

Also why would anyone buy your word on the matter? Because you say so and that's enough? Even ignoring your spotty-at-best track record?

AFAICT it's a crap shoot who you get in an instance. I've been playing with people (not in a wing) and until we winged up we couldn't find one another because we'd be split among 2 or 3 instances.

a griefer (can't name, but I've met this poor excuse for a person in game before)

Interested in this level of clearly exalted superiority you exist in, that you can judge another man as a poor excuse for a real human because you couldn't perceive his motives in a video game.

Pray tell?

I always watch my back in maia. It's an anarchy! I'm actually OK with ganking in anarchy. It's the fact that ganking in a high sec system occurs that I have a problem with.

Logical elmination of potential motives is pretty simple. All other logical pathways are eliminated by the empirical evidence of action, thus providing a clear deductive framework for the conclusion.

Just using his own ridiculous and incorrect words.

So, completely unfounded elimination of the motives that you can think of?

An active motive could be flying a ship for a differing navy. Enroaching on territory. Powerplay. BGS manipulation/protection. You could have had a target on your head (yes, there are successful, paid assassins out there). Pirating, and you weren't playing ball. Achievement of an initiative, such as barricading a CG. Testing new equipment/alpha damage tactics. And so on...

Or he might just enjoy shooting things. After all, Elite does condone "just hunting other commanders".

Frankly, grow up. It's a game. They are not suddenly a disgusting human for playing a game in a way you don't like despite having the right - which last I checked was what almost always gets waved around as justification for it actually being a problem? We can all play how we want, yes?

If you don't want others to play how they want around you...dude, you've heard this bit before. Open play is open so all the above can happen in a non-scripted environment. The only person coming out shamefully in such a bleak judgement of character...is you.

Seeing as 'Bubbly pies' are fictional I make do ( dont tell wifey ! ) and gladly scoff the homemade Blueberry Cheese cakes for pudding at our summer BBQs [squeeeee]

I think this thread might have derailed into a petty argument. Please gentlemen, let's keep it civil.

Edit: And SkyLeach, thanks for the warning. [up]

everything you just listed fails Gardan's Steelyard due to the circumstances of the engagement (location, wing composition, prolonged activity, player history and memberships)

Empty statement and a given. The deduction concerns motive, not desire.

Nobody said the game made him a disgusting human being, rather that he already is one regardless of how he expresses that fact.

If you don't want others to play how they want around you...dude, you've heard this bit before. The only person coming out shamefully in such a bleak judgement of character...is you.
This statement is too open ended. 'Play the way they want' would be inclusive of hacks and exploits as well as griefing. Also, this is a red herring since we are discussing the character of the invidivudal, which you objected to when you started this dialogue, and not how I feel about the validity (or lack thereof) of the in-game actions. You can think my judgement of him is shameful, that's fine. That doesn't mean it is inaccurrate or illogical.
