Beagle Point Expedition (BPE)

Oh... yes!! It's a great notice for me.
I'm on my own way to Beagle, about 7k ly still to arrives... But yesterday, late in the night, I get totally stucked in the abyss with my 23 ly Python. I was following the doc in this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/eliteexplo...abyss_can_i_get_to_beagle_point_without_much/) but I can't reach the starter point...
At this point, I understand that I can't meet expedition at Beagle in May 5... but now, maybe, a new hope is coming. :D

there is a route to bp on the master doc

Phew, I was able to put in the last 200 jumps over yesterday and today, so I'm at Beagle Point now; invite request sent to FleetComm, and I'll be watching for events over the weekend, so I can pop by and say hello to you all!

I'm trying to get there today or tomorrow, want to stock up on jumponium a bit on the way.

I've scanned all the bodies in Beagle in case I need materials, there's at least 2 landables which have high odds of Germanium for rank 3 Jumponium, so you can do it after arriving too...

Beagle Point is a green system, you can stock up on everything you need for jump synthesis there :)

Beagle Point EDSM

I just touched down last night and I'm looking forward to meeting you guys over the next week or so! If anyone is about, feel free to add me in game

Yes I was heading to link 33ly route, buuuut.....

This is NOT an EMERGENGY call, repeat, NOT AN EMERGENCY, but if there is a BORED CMDR in Xbox, near Beagle (approx. 7k ly, in the abyss), and has nothing to do:

I´m totally stucked with the SRV, in a very break surface. I´m wasting 2 days, and a lot of materials to repair an refuel, trying to exit... but no way. I have still another SRV in my ship, but if someone is near, I prefer waste this last chance asking here. Better a small ship, like DBX or ASP, I´m not sure an Anaconda fits in this place. My idea is to use the SRV boosters and try to land over the ship :D Shields needed.

Your SRV thrusters can't get you out of there? Your ship can't land anywhere nearby?

On a PC I'd say switch to Non-Horizons mode. Not sure if that's possible on XBox.

If you recall your ship, if there is no place for it to land, it may hover above you and still allow you to board without landing.

Other than that, here's hoping an XBox commander can come to your aid.

Nop, with the thrusters the only get is bouncing around, like a ball, but not enough to exit... is too much deep, and can't control because the SRV is always lying on a side or over head. I would need more power to arrives to regular surface over me, and no way to traction and climb.
My ship lands about 750m, near, over me...but can't reach it.

No, in Xbox no way to switch to non horizons.

Remember I have another SRV, the rescue it's only for "fun" as my own challenge. I don't want anyone comes here from far far away only for help me...

have you asked on the discord?

Just a note in case you aren't aware (I wasn't till a couple months ago and been playing almost since release!) ..... Srv thrusters *always* boost up, regardless which direction you are pointing. It is counter intuitive but *may* help you get out (if you've been trying to boost only when point 'right way up')
Good luck o7

Nop, didn't realize...

Mmm... that explains a lot, but don't help me, because that I need is just the otherwise. I don't need to go up, I need to go up and forward in some direction just to fall further in another hole, and bit a bit go climbing.

Anyway, finally self destruct at 6:00AM... no way.

Thank you for the tips o7; now I'll be very very careful with my last SRV, it still may last to Beagle and back.

Commander XXX is deliberately attacking other players in Fleetcomm at Beagle point. Video https://www.twitch.tv/hutch_ca
After I blocked him, he attacked my SRV from his SRV, took out my SRV shields and my SRV hull down to 50% and then he got in his ship and started firing his mining laser randomly

Be aware guys

A simple way out of this is to relog into "non-horizons" vanilla elite - you'll be put back in your ship in orbit with your srv, then log back into horizons and carry on as normal.

I was in the same situation a couple of weeks ago.

The best jumps I could manage were just a couple of meters short. Sorry for your loss, be careful with that last SRV!

Correction. I couldn't rewind my twitch stream to check but My SRV was already at 89% and he only took it down to 78% after taking out my shields.

It seems he had also fired on some other ships before I arrived. No real damage done. Just rude behavior. (IMO)
Maybe I overreacted, but from my perspective some stranger started shooting at me because I refused to play in his sing-along game.

From my perspective, somebody fired into the base camp with either a mining or a beam laser. While I was able to log out without getting hit, I do not plan to risk >300m in data, an elite NPC crew, and an explorer's legacy at any further meet-ups.

For all attending the BPE / DECE expeditions meet up at beagle point today and the week of activities, please note the following.

I understand about players travelling with full weapon loads out, and I understand that as I always travel fully armed, with regards to the meet up today and the events planned this week, during your activities everyone keep an eye on your radars and if anyone sees a ship icon changes form a square to a triangle call a warning out and be prepared to scatter if needed. -- That way we will all protect our nav data and ships. Apart from that all on both expeditions have fun and enjoy yourself.
