Haven't heard of this new "void opal", but I've been selling LTD's for 800K each.
Is void opal more than that?

Yes, more than double that if you know were to look

Wait, opal is in both rocky, and metal rich, and there's no difference?

I cant give accurate prices if i do that because the price is different depending on the system state among other things, that's why i used the galactic average as that figure remains static and is a rough guide.
But yeah always use EDDB to find the best price for whatever you mined.
holy cow!I prefer going by what I find rather than the Galactic Averages.
Does it matter.
Firstly, opals are guaranteed more than LTDs, so you are better off mining them regardless, and second, the mega prices will likely be reined in knowing ED, to be brought more in line with the galactic average. Of course, 200k a ton still isn't bad in my mind.
That's been possible since 1.0 - and it does reduce the price you get compared with selling to a station at max demand levels, just not that much.i just sold more then the station requested, this gotta be a huge bug. it will be patched soon i think..
The reason it's happening is that different BGS states have different effects on prices.Enjoy it while it lasts. guessing Fdev are trying to find that offset decimal point somewhere in their code.
Does what matter?
I just listed the Galactic averages for the stuff to mine and where to find them, nothing more.
The fact that the prices in stations is well above or below the galactic averages is not a new thing, though i think they will be reigned in at some point.
The fact 1 tonne of precious gems can be sold for 1 million a tonne is probably not what Fdev intended, i sense a nerf incoming.
Particularly if you can find 70 tonne of them in an hr.
That's not to say the Galactic Averages are unreasonable, i think they are pretty good and would expect Fdev to keep those and will probably only look at the cases where stations are willing to buy them for over 1 mil a tonne...
Enjoy it while it lasts. guessing Fdev are trying to find that offset decimal point somewhere in their code.
It may also be the intention of FDEV, the core asteroids do not respawn as quick so it may be the yields obtained level out after the first initial Rush, and if that's the case maybe the higher payouts are justified as there is less chance of finding a motherlode.
All the above is just speculation i have no idea of what was intended or not, just my thoughts on the subject.
But as you say something doesn't matter![]()
