Beta 1.1 comments for non beta players

So, you're telling me that players wanting to "pirate" are now subjected to an extra fine on top of their assault (and potentially murder) fines when dealing with uncooperative players?

What about the alt-f4 majority? Now, pirates must deal with their targets' incredibly easy access to escape (ending the process, or simply initially submitting and flying away). Do you get multiple fines for successive interdixtions against a single target? What about fines accrued without any chance to recoup them on the target being interdicted (due to their ending the process)? Should pirates be subjected to thousands of credits worth of extra fines while they are already unable to earn anything more chump change from stolen goods, assuming they're able to earn any, AT ALL?

Seems to me like a poorly thought-out change that's only going to further deter piracy, leaving only 2 or 3 ways to play the game.

Revert it. It doesn't make any effective change for the better - those whom want to grief will interdict and fire regardless of fines. Those whom want to play the game fairly, however disadvantaged they may be in doing so, are being beaten with the bat, instead.

Tragedy of it all is that no one on these forums seems to care, so long as their trade runs are undisrupted - "Screw the other guy, at least I got mine" seems to be the dominant ideology here.

Hey guys, I found the pirate!

Piracy is just that, piracy it should be deterred in the same way crime is in real life, buck up, grow a pair and accept that being a 'bad boy' to gain credits instead of earning an honest wage, is gonna earn you some bounty.
Deal with it.

Enjoy whats left of ED now... While you can Enjoy whats left of ED now... While you can

Because in 1.1 you will never see a big ship in your hanger and possibly never afford the upgrades you want for your viper. That is unless you "live" in your gaming seat in front of ED. The game is so nerfed. No money to be made anywhere now. No missions still. In fact I believe there are less missions available. Trade routes you are used to are gone. And at the same time they seem to have reduced what you can make in the market. And to add to it, bounty hunting is lower also. I haven't gotten that far yet in 1.1 and all of this already. Nothing seems to be added to the game at all accept a bunch of fixes and tweaks that should have been there on launch. I do have to say the sound is better. But oh well I can sit and listen to new sounds all night long instead of playing new content that was supposed to be in it. Who the hell cares about community goals (2 of them and incredibly boring at that) that you can't even see what you personally have put into it. No rep fixes or content that pulls the players in. I want to have fun in this game still, but not adding real mission mechanics and new content for gameplay is killing this for me. As much as I want to keep playing. When they update to 1.1 If it stays like this. I'm afraid We are going to loose a ton more cmdrs. FD stop nerfing it. You are killing your game. I don't have endless time grinding to get enough credits to by a new fsd drive. And I would really like to be flying a python by the end of the summer. But most of all I just want something to do In-Game (((MISSIONS Real ones))) 9 or 10 generic ones does not cut it.

BUG in 1.1 - Stripping ships for cash is back BUG in 1.1 - Stripping ships for cash is back

From a CMDR on Twitter I chat with: "Buy T9, sell internals, buy Sidey and store T9, buy another T9, sell internals, buy Sidey and store T9, buy another T9, sell......."

It's like one step forward, two LY back with the Dev team these days.

Flame on!
its the first big patch/update, I agree lots of things have been left out, but meh, diablo 3 season 1 just ended, enjoy the paragon levels added too your main and crush your foes!
.

Man, even in this age of early access and preorder nonsense there are still people who just don't get what a beta test is.

Edit: Suppose I should elaborate. Anything that happens in the 1.1 beta universe is completely null and void and does not matter in the slightest. It's for testing. Currently some ships cost 100cr because the devs quickly edited a config file so people would test those ships. They just didn't bother changing the sell price to match because it doesn't matter, none of these "exploits" people are using in the beta are exploits, they're intended so the bloody game can be tested, and (I can't believe I have to say this) you will not be able to buy a T9 for 100cr and sell it for 2.5mil on 1.1 launch day. Why would you or your dumb twitter friend even think that?

You're doing it wrong.

Boost the T9 at the pole at the back of the station. re-spawn in Sidey, buy T9...

*sigh* Amateurs...

Z...

Yeah, sadly the point I'm making is that its reintroduced an exploit that they supposedly fixed.

Thats because they made the T9 worth 100CR only, but the internals are worth the same price, its not a bug.

People are doing this to make money to test the big ships.

Don't bring logic into this.
It's clearly incompetence from Frontier and they should be ridiculed publicly.

Have you taken into account that the prices of the ships/modules in beta have been deliberately changed (for the beta server only presumably) to enable them to be tested? e.g. 100 credits for a Type 9.

Edit: Wow, ninja'd so fast my head's spinning. :D

This is only possible because for beta purposes, they're selling the ship for much cheaper than it's actual components, like 100 credits or something. You can kill the alarm already, and read some other threads before pushing the panic button.
