Patch Notes Update Beta - 1.6 and The Engineers (2.1) incoming

I wonder if it is worth giving people the ability to create a bookmark for where they are.
For example this may be useful for bookmarking a particular spot on a planet, which is good for racing etc..

Ahh, I thought you meant for how far through the patch notes they were!

Wait so now NPCs don't have to worry about their drives malfunctioning like Players do. If you improved their AI why do they get new cheats to give them even more of an advantage?

I do not believe this is something to worry about.
Humans have a much more detailed damage model and we can do little repairs to modules and stuff.
This might be too involved for the AI at the moment.
You can still shoot out their drives and other modules.

You could put the co-ordinates in the bookmark notes, but yes I think it's a thing for the future.

i think that is the description of the bug. They forgot to add 'fixed'. Happens every time. :)

- Add system X, Y, Z co-ordinates to network log

Does this go to the logging used by several tools? So that, when submitting new data to EDSM, I will already have the coordinates.

Long list...lots fixed! Good work all!

'scumming'...can someone give a definition of this term? Is this internal for 'mode swapping'?

Hey, BGS folks...check out the changes here Galactic Simulation:

Some of these are really interesting:

Lockdown does something!

Other states should be more common (looking at you Famine!)

Cooldowns for War and Civil War and Election...

Looks like things get a bit more interesting!

Sweet mother of everything, this is a patchnote...A patchnote to all patchnotes. From now on it is THE patchnote. Every time I refer to one, I will say 'yeah, it's nice but it's not even close to 'THE patchnote'. Do I say patchnote too much?

Oh good lord that was a wonderful read

Turn of phrase over landings and a few other points deserves a Employee Gold Star, and looks like there's a few potentially huge changes in there heehee

- Unlinked minor faction reputation from their parent major faction reputation, now you will be neutral with an Empire minor faction even if you are allied with the Empire major faction

I knew this was announed all along but still... crap. Now the game actively discourages moving around, instead you are better off sticking to a specific place.

Le sigh. Each time the missions are updated, I get the false hope that the one form of trade gameplay that I really enjoy - transport missions - would become viable. Each time it is somehow messed up, first by never spawning missions suitable for more than a Cobra (so bringing e.g. a Python is a waste); then by putting all the emphasis on smuggling so that is where the money is to be had; then missions can have larger amounts to transport but you are lucky if the payment is in the 6 digits.

And now you won't even get decent missions if you go from transport job to transport job, because you go from neutral place to neutral place...
