Just tried to check the network logs...13Gb

Ok, managed to get into a solo game via changing the resolution to 800x600 then back to 1920x1080 after getting in the game.

HOWEVER...

I didn't even make it to Azeban City before I got disconnected, and now the "Start" option is not selectable.

:p

Just want to reiterate how thankful the team is that you guys are so passionate about playing and testing this beta. The game literally wouldn't happen without you. The problems you're all coming across are frustrating, but that's all part of beta testing!

Only happy to be helpfull. I still can enjoy single system exploration. Im patient and i understand. Eagerly waiting for next fix, meanwhile trying what i can try ingame.

i think you guys might have forgotten a server or two with this patch..
i'm getting: "Can't connect to edServer: Your client is too new."

Well, I'm not flying around the galaxy map any more, but there are still no stars. At least the galaxy map bug gave me something to look at :(

Beta 2.0 all was fine, Beta 2.01 all my stars have vanished  and I have started to freeze (didn't in 2.0) and get discon.

So here's an interesting one....

My latest net log is 156Meg and when I try to open it notepad hangs and becomes unresponsive...any other text doc opens fine, just the net log one that crashes notepad.

Relevant?

Not really. The logfile is just too big for Notepad to display. Try opening it in another text editor.

Just had a message "can't connect to server your client is too new", and also I can't quit out of the game, not sure if that is relevant, but I end up with the black screen and have to bin it via the task manager! Hope this helps.

Edit: Please keep in mind that there are still changes to come, and the team are still hard at work.

Thanks again for your feedback and patience with Beta 2.00.

Beta 2.01 is available now and the change log is as follows:

- Ensure in-system map is properly cleaned up if interrupted
- Fix incorrect commander ID sent to the server when scanning celestial bodies
- Fixed div by zero in time to destination
- Reduce server's MTU, and turn on detailed network logging
- Do not deadlock if we hit “Fail to add resend” error
- Make faction sides in war zones the correct way round
- When spawning ambient traffic around a station and choosing a random minor faction, don't choose a faction in a war state, unless it's the faction that is the controlling minor faction. Should stop there being so much fighting around stations
- Mission util flag and text fixes
- Repair all button isn't selectable fixed
- Increased the possible string length for titles in the missions panel pop up (in cockpit)
- Range-check input binding values when asked to display as text
- Fixed lighting transition in supercruise
- Fixed galaxy background capture
- Handle missing text symbols for input bindings
- Remove the 'security system' data from the galaxy map, until we're pulling the correct data
- System set up tweaks for Dahan and Rakapila

Please keep in mind that there are still changes to come, and the team are still hard at work.

Thanks.

"Can't connect to edServer: Your client is too new." :D

I so lol'd at that one.
Keep up the good work guys!

Shok.

Relevant?

Corrupted file perhaps, I noticed the graphics settings files are in a different format now to, sounds like lots of it is server side, but maybe one of the new files is corrupt or botched.
