Wow, thanks for this update it is amazing. I initially got the spinning Sidewinder, however before I tried clearing save I went in to the docking tutorial and completed that. I then went back and tried in group play again and it loaded in just fine. Turned the gamma down and the brightness of the hud and things look amazing now. Thank you so much FDEV for all your hard work over the last few days it is appreciated.

Well after clearing the save it works for me in SOLO and OPEN. Didnt work in 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2. Excellent. No sleep tonight. Even on "low" the universe looks stunning.

Wish I was... got new beta loaded... lost my ship and any credits - lost the UK flag paint job I PAID MONEY for.

Can't buy any cargo - no screen to go to... unless they moved it and forgot to tell me where it is.

Not a happy bunney any more

1. UK flag paint job should be still there - it was specific for Viper though, so you won't see it for Sidewinder;
2. You start at outpost without market first so don't despair, fly to Azban City to buy goods and start trading;

Did a couple of jumps when to dock and then blew up as I tried to leave hanger, the game then crashed! Crash report and ticket sent!

Still looks and plays great though!

Thank you Dev team after getting frozen out at the menu I can now get in game. Only tried solo briefly so far and no crashes.

I know why you start us where you do, it is jaw droppingly beautifully but maybe full game have us start in less amazing locations so it is a wonder of discovery for new players?

The planets look amazing and being able to get closer adds so much to the immersion, it really does.
Can't wait for atmospheric and weather effects to be put in but even now it is a work of art. Well done.

Tootled off to Anahit to find gold and see what the asteroids looked like, no gold and no asteroids, just an Anaconda that Kamakazied me. (It will be nice when the AI wants to avoid collisions as much as humans)
I take it the asteroids have been removed and it is not a bug but the planet looks so much better now anyway.

Once my sidewider was crushed by Anaconda I had a choice of free Sidey or pay 1,600 and get loaned lasers - how are they loaned if they cost 600 credits?

Also when you buy it states you have taken a loan for 1600 but surely having 1000 in the bank should make this only a loan of 600?
I will have to revisit it and check more carefully to see if bug or not and report if so.

First impressions wow (Although there is some weird brightness issues with things being too bright, especially in station.)

Also some grey contacts on censors that turned out to be nothing even though I could target them, look weird on 3D scanner too. They were not labelled after being targeted.

I see there is a turret separate from the station at start location.
Not sure if that is meant to be like that but looks odd and as though it should be attached.

Thanks for all your hard work guys.

All good for me, I can now log in to open play :)

Thanks Dev's you're doing a great job.

Time for me to show off my really bad flying. ;)

I was referring to those Christmasy looking stars. Are we talking about the same thing?

Yes, I know what you mean. And yes, it's not a bug, but feature. It identifies stars *near* system you are in. Idea is that instead of using side panel you could just pick one and hit T to lock on.

There is no market on the station you start in now its an orbital platform and therefore does not have one.

Your skin is still there you can change it in the fitting screen.
i don't think the union jack was available for the sidewinder? so you've gotta wait to buy the ship again then apply it.

wow finally got back in after two days of nothing but the black death. In solo at the moment time to test it out.

Good evening Cmdrs,

Beta 2.03 will be available by 19:30 BST. Thank again for your patience and your continued feedback. This game wouldn't be able to happen without your input.

The team will continue to iron out any further issues - we will keep you updated on their progress.

Change log for beta 2.03:

- Fix the MTU discovery code
- Reduced mission system causes for kicking players from game while in hyperspace
- Prevent the client from dropping connections with an ED server while we are waiting on responses from the server
- Crash fix for some cargo drops using the wrong symbols
- Stopping the divide by zero when the light is obscured by the planet
- Crash fix for text box list
- Prevent star system errors clogging the server
- Cut down the logging of overdue machines to avoid making an overloaded server any worse
- Fix players not being rewarded (and not punished) for killing wanted ships
- Stop the galaxy map binding while in a hyperspace transition
- Some guards for entering bad star names into the galaxy map nav bar which end up being interpreted as generated names
- Ensure that objects shut down cleanly when closing down ships and stations
- Clear AI groups before destroying them
- Enable mouse headlook while docked
- Fix for missing stars after opening galaxy map and main menu during same transition
- Handle the case where a StellarForge request times-out but something else has already generated the same star system
- If a get star system request fails the signal we’ve been disconnected from the server
- Right hand HUD element sometimes displays blank now fixed
- Prevent Cockpit panel focus when we're in the preflight check
- Limpet network fixes
- Update patrol paths around stations
- Prevent spurious first disconnect if it isn’t really a disconnect

See you in space Cmdrs

Yummy! Thanks for all the hard work you all do at FD. One can easily tell it's coming together more and more. ;)

Shok.

Well... still hope they will come up with something less ornamental. :D:p

Winkling stars is a feature, not a bug. If you have read exploration DDF, you would understand why.

Right, but the way they're doing it now looks bad (IMO) because it's using a diffraction effect from telescope images that doesn't look that way to the naked eye. I can get used to it, I just wish they were doing it a bit differently.

Really pleased to see that people are managing to get in to the game.

If you're still having issues keep logging those tickets - your feedback is invaluable.
