Jeebus. Dahan Gateway is back to its old tricks with a vengeance. Jittering around the place. Disappearing. Re-Appearing. Disappearing again. Re-Appearing with me in the superstructure (hit 'quit' pretty darned fast...).

Shudder.

Loading is faster, but...

This is I get when I try to exit at Murray Port in G 180-18. It seems not to be related with networking.
 
SC

SC is slightly more responsive..but I still got like 10 sec wait when exiting SC...sometimes is 10-15s...sometimes 5s... :rolleyes:
 
I seem to be getting really bad stutter when approaching planets now :(

In open play exiting SC still takes 5+ minutes for me if there are any other players in the instance. Or it just never connects and I have to ctrl-alt-del.

One big issue that the community flagged up was the problem with loading times: some players were experiencing delays with starting the game, in hyperspace and coming out of supercruise. 2.05 is geared directly at ironing out these issues, to make cruising through space a smoother experience.

Improved loading times - watching spinning orange Cobra for 15min now ( 3 attempts before )
Supercruise - was ok in 2.04, now it takes forever :-(

The community has been incredible so far with feedback, and the team wouldn't have been able to put these updates out without you. Please continue logging tickets and replying to this thread in the forum, so the devs can see if the above aspects have been improved, and stop any problems the changes may have introduced.

Sorry latest patch has killed the game for me. I can't load up - I just get the spinning cobra.

Upgraded to 2.05.

At 1850, worse, if anything. At least a 10 minute wait at the Spinning Sidewinder (could be a good tavern name...) before I got bored and killed the task.

1852 : 8 minute wait

Finally materialize inside a station, but most of it isn't rendered, I can see a grey fog, a Sidewinder floating sideways in the distance, and some random bits of station. Alt tab out to talk about it in this post, and get a crash dump.

What's changed? Is there some piece of network config I can change to follow it?
 
Loading is super fast now.

But had bad luck with first SC exit at Al Kahlili refinery, got stuck for 5 min and had to close client. Looked like received bandwidth got even more the longer I waited.

Edit: it was really only the first exit from SC, had no issues since then.

Annnnd it's not just Dahan now that's flaky. Had Chango Dock and Freeport try to kill me whilst either docking or exiting. Freeport was just stepping through 90 degrees about its axis of rotation every 3 seconds or so.

Plus getting massive stutters and hangs on approach to planets in super-cruise now.
 
Got station dancing a little bit. Ticketed.

Report all isues in tickets guys, so FD can now what after effects their changes have.

In lot of times supercruise exit is much faster now, but game got unstable. Let's got those nasty bugs squashed.
 
Seeing weird things like planets not updating from Unknown no matter how close or how many times I D-scan them. Also when going into universal cartographics there is a huge delay and then an error comes back about can't get updates from the web server. Also, the further I travel out from the starting systems, I'm not seeing any combat missions at all. Not sure if that's a bug or intended design.

I'm getting the choppy stuttering supercruise when approaching or leaving planets since earlier in the week. Been playing in solo mode exclusively...
 
Just gave the update a test. Showing massive improvements.

Seamless is the word i will use.
Before i had long periods of just waiting, now maybe 1-2 seconds and i'm out SC.

Stellar job guys !
