Patch Notes Update Beta 2.06 incoming

I don't know what exactly you did to the netcode, but it's been an enormous improvement for me. I got stuck in Hyperspace/Supercruise about 3 times in 3 hours, compared to once every 5 minutes in 2.05. A little more tweaking and we're golden. ;)
 
2.06 has been a bit of a down grade for me.

I get stutters now for the first 3 - 5 minutes in the beginning of the game instead of a silky smooth as I always used to get.

I also get quite a few graphical glitches normally close to planets and stations. Looks like thick bands of black that flashes for a few moments and then goes away.
 
As in 2.04 and as in 2.05, I still can not access bulletin boards and get disconnected with a "could not connect to server" message. This is something very strange about the network as I can connect to anything : I can supercruise, hyperjump, fight, dock, access commodities market, contacts ... but not the bulletin boards. Even stranger, in the last hours of 2.05 I finally got access back to the bulletin boards, and at the same time encountered lots more CMDRS in open play ( is it related ??? ). In the first 2 hours of 2.06 I had access to bulletin boards, then this became impossible again.
 
So far so good for me... Getting stuck in HS or SC hasn't happened (so far) and was happening at least once or twice an hour. Shying away from combat as Im not that good, although Brennan Station blew me up for an unpaid fine..
 
I've managed to get in and actually play today and there is a definite stutter present. Made exiting iBootis a challenge... close my eyes and hope for the best.
 
I joined Elite with Beta 2.05. Since .06 I've massive problems when jumping between systems. Either the game loses connection to the Server, or it crash, or I get a blank screen, or I got stuck in the Jump animation :(
 
Can't get past the spinning orange ship...

I just updated to 2.06 today, and now I can't get past the spinning orange ship loading screen.

I can play tutorials, but get nowhere when trying open or solo modes. Seeing the mixed results on the "delete the profile" suggestions, I'm not willing to crash my credits and ship just to start over when it was working fine in 2.05 a couple of days ago.

I've also tried resetting the router and checking all settings. I can get out to everything else just fine, just can't get solo and open play to work after updating to 2.06.

I'm connected to server 54.74.234.189 if that helps.

2.04 was ok. 2.05 was almost unplayable for me. It always CTD or hung. I never got to quit once. 2.06 still has plenty of issues but at least it rarely hangs and I have never crashed to the desktop. I REALLY hope beta-3 cleans up a whole lot of these "known issues". That would be nice.
 
After a couple of nights with B2.06 - it finally stuck on SC exit....

It's been so good I was completing 6-8 missions in 20 minutes or less with multiple systems and docks in the mix... but finally the shaking on exit to Rukavishnikov and stuck there.
NB - I noticed some other ships heading to that station just ahead of me in SC.
 
wow what a difference a couple of nights make.
First night 2.06 was released i had a reasonable nights testing and especially compared with 2.05 but alas last night was a very different picture.
I ended up with five crashes in 2 hours of testing, these varied from stuck coming out of SC and the endless hyper jump sequence to stutters and cant connect to server messages.
Very indifferent night, was there more players online or something else going on? i have no idea, will be testing some more once the children are in school this morning to see how it compares again.
Of course all issues have been reported as always and i will continue the tests, obviously still a lot of work to do as i see others who still cant even load the game up.
 
Just played for couple hours. Mostly trading and doing missions. I had one infinite hyperspace loop (i had to kill the game),and once it took couple minutes to get into station instance. Usually it takes about 3-5 seconds to enter/drop out of frameshift (near stations). Much better than it was before 2.05 (5-10s atleast). Loading times, and getting into and exiting game are a mere fraction of what they used to be :).
 
I cannot get in this morning at all (EST USA) either in solo or open play so i've added a new netlog to my open ticket. # 35090. Thanks!
