I'll actually miss the bobbleheads - it made the cockpit seem "homely" - call me weird if you like, but I actually enjoyed the idea of some interior decoration in the cockpit (I mean - Han Solo had dice, right?!) - especially as I use the Oculus rift and really look around a lot

I have never felt the need for a smoke break while reading any game's patch list before...

Excellent! And so comprehensive!

So... people having switched off reporting crimes caused police to attack legal bounty hunters, didn't it, causing police to just see players attack ships that in weren't registered with the police as criminals yet. Finally figured that one out last night myself.

Giving up on sell all map data button, until it is working right, or forever?

And the distress beacon being removed.. I'm guessing you have to rework how that feature works, or people could possibly cruise out of the pill.

Anyway... thanks for a huge update. So looking forward to try it out.

So, that is a metric ton of fixes, many of them things I recognize, but I am maybe just a tiny bit curious if maybe the Detailed Surface Scanner can mount on a ship other than the Sidewinder yet?

oh Thank you, I was waiting for "Don't attempt to extrude degenerate edges on the silhouette of cascade frustums"

Looking forward to another few weeks of testing:D

First thoughts: ice caps, volcanism, atmospheres, nebulae... this update is heavy on the pretteh. :)

Lots of good Oculus Rift fixes (particularly for the system map) which is excellent. :)

The SLI/Crossfire banding of planets is fixed. Yay! :D

Looking forward to getting in game. Great job FD.

:)

yep, ya weird

:p

- Oculus Rift/Direct Access: Allow the window to be resized to the desired dimensions (the ones specified in the options menu), while making sure the swap chain is created respecting the size of the Oculus Rift display, when Direct Access is enabled

This is make me very happy :)

Fantastic news :)

Just one small concern.
I could not se any fix in the patch notes about the detailed surface scanner for the Cobra ( might be bugged for other ship as well)
As soon I bought the cobra the detailed surface scanner was gone from the store. It limit us when we want to do a full exploring of a system if we cant get our hands on that important piece of equipment.

Ba ha haaaaa!!! I just read that and was about to post about it saying that the devs need some rest, as they have clearly gone nuts.

Also - the "Funeral and Wedding type NPCs....?" Okay guys... Let's back away slowly, do NOT make eye contact... :D

Bobbleheads removed - Nooooooooooooo
There was a option to turn them off anyway so why remove them.

I have the same question on 'wealth kept' to clarify- do we get back the money spent on ships, or just retain the current bank balance as is?

Thanks.

Holy Molly that is an impressive update. Well done Frontier :)

I also saw these two and I am hoping that one or both are improvements to the immersion of exiting supercruise...

- When entering somewhere (supercruise, area with space station etc), don't wait at all for other machine's objects
- Improvements to hyperspace and supercruise effects
