ay yi yi! Client locked up for ~10 secons exiting hyperspace, almost plowed into the destination star. Never saw that in 2.06.... :(

Couple of points:

FS/SC crashes
Juddering
Unable to exit UI when it fails to respond to input devices forcing log off of windows to resolve
Authority NPC s annihilating me for opening fire on a wanted ship.

Going to put it down for the night....

But on the flipside.....feels great, looks absolutely amazing, some of the additions are tops.....nowhere near the level of issues of past.

For a nice indication of awesomeness, go to Beagle2 Landing and fly around the ringed planet on both sides - stunning! Na nite....looking forward to tomorrow!

Hi - does anyone know how big the update is?

I live in Australia, and despite claimed first world status, despite living within 30 mins drive of Brisbane CBD - I cannot get ADSL . . . so am stuck paying stupefying prices for mobile broadband . . .

In short - only have a few Gb to spare before service is shaped to a claimed 64kb/s (reality is closer to ~5kb/s) and am hoping I can update to 3.0?

Anyone know how big it is?

Someone said earlier that it was 3.8 gigs.

OK, bedtime.

I've submitted a support ticket already and done my job. Ironically when I went to submit another one the dropdowns on the ticked substitution page weren't displaying their options (at least in Firefox).

I managed to play for a few minutes before it crashed so I think I'll be waiting until one of the next releases before trying again. A couple of things that struck me. I had to tun the gamma up slightly less than 50% to begin to see detail on surfaces but already it's looking a lot better than 2.06. Also the sound seems much beefier in general (that word is getting used a lot tonight) and is pretty spectacular as a consequence (even with my crappy headphones).

Uh, yeah, I think they're working on that. I think they call it a patch, or somethin'. Should be out in no time flat. Ever read Moby ? Good novel. Oh, the time just flies when you're not waiting for grass to grow, doesn't it?

Everything will be fine in the morning. I'm almost certain of it.:D  :S

WOW did someone have a bad day or what. Obvious troll is obvious...

Feels far more robust

Running an i7 bootcamp iMac with 16MB and a 5750 Radeon and while I can't (don't expect) to be able to run it full screen, I do run at max detail windowed and I can say that the overall interface/transitions/loading is much more robust.... For example... Previously if I was docked and I was to look at galaxy map prior to launch, I would 90% of time get 50% drop in frame rate. Loading into open is still a bit flaky but I put that down to load after patch but will monitor.

All in all a great job

And So my thoughts

Well it downloaded ok.
Played for an Hour did a few missions ok
likening the new layout of some things awesome
interdiction twice on one hyperjump ok, i can cope with that.
sharper visuals
Much more crisper
Hyper and super cruise noticefully different and smoother
nice sun flares
Better station interaction
buying ships is lots easier and cheaper can get a lykon 9 i think for 75.000 (but dnt hold me to that)

NOT once did i get disco'd at all..
No gfx glitches not that i saw anyways

Running great from where and what I played will see more tomo
:D

I've chucked a ticket in, but I though I would post here in case someone might have a workaround for me ;)

I have two monitors, and since beta 3.0 it seems that ED will open on a random one rather than the primary, and to boot whichever one it opens on the mouse pointer will be on the other.

Also, if I have a brain freeze and try to click a button with the "OS" mouse pointer, then the game will lose context and nothing will get it back, not even alt-tab, leading to a kill in task manager.

Windowed mode seems to work, so I can at least get testing! :)

I'm experiencing the same problem. Have you tried disabling one of your monitors, just to see if that will allow for fullscreen with mouse interaction?

I didn't say this in beta 2, hoping it would come back in beta 3 but, why is there no fine when we do deliver during a hauling job anymore. It seemed logical and gave us some sort of obligation or responsibility.

Also, the speed cap bug when we turn off the engines is still there.

Thanks for all the beautiful stuff you give us and good luck.

Not a solution but a workaround is ALT+ENTER to get the mouse back. Worked for me twice. ALT+ENTER (windowed-fullscreen function even though it doesnt go to window but resets the mouse).
.
.
EDIT: Agreed with above. Taking bulletinboard missions and drop them to get the wares stolen should immediately give you negative rep with the station or faction the station belongs to. I like the idea that you can do so since its realistic to be able to take a mission, get the gear on board and then just ditch the mission. But if its made in the station then it needs to be seen and give a penalty.
