Game Discussions Bethesda Softworks Starfield Space RPG

I've put some extra hours into SF, and in the end, i've decided the game simply isn't engaging or ripe enough for me. Its missing the charm of the Elder Scrolls games and just isn't drawing me in.

So, for the moment at least, its uninstalled.
I see you running around with a bucket and other mischievous ploys. SF is a shot at the Sci Fi. Sometimes the old fantasy doesn't do it anymore. Fallout was a good variety too, though the whole formula has been going the simplification route steadily. I found SF's attempt of streamlining the perk simplification and adding some more milestones to them interesting but at the end of the day I'm one of these "level skill by doing" and I'm talking actual levels, not simple milestones.
When I think back to Skyrim it's always a good memory - I think I'm ready for a new Elder Scroll, too.

Next character though, it's gonna be mag gunner.

Looks like the game is sending statistics of my gamplay to Bethesda? I can't remember agreeing to that or seeing such option anywhere to switch it of.
I was getting messages whenever I started up the game that it hadn't synced data since Oct 7. And data on my system was out of date. However it was obvious that the data wasn't save data as this was current right uptil I stopped playing.

Enjoying the exploration aspect of the game and am addicted to turning the blue stuff green on the scanner. Will eventually fully scan every planet.

But have noticed that within two months think I have scanned all the traits available in game and haven't found a new one in ages. Think I count 30 and am disappointed there aren't more in the game.

35 systems? That reminds me of the ED:Odyssey beta...I think they had 50 systems, available, for us to try the new stuffs in.

I have a long way to go, in Starfield, but got some new pc hardware which makes it like butter, so hoping to get into that tonight/over the holidays.

One point of improvement for the next update from Bethesda could be this: Companions don't understand when I'm in a lift, and don't always come to the lift with me. When they have left behind and are running to catch me, they quite often stop in front of the lift and stare at me like they have no clue of what I want. That is a bit irritating, but not an actual problem if the lift has a loading screen transition. It should be possible to make the game recognize when the player is in a lift and make the companion always go to a lift with the player.

I haven't been keen on the scanning in SF, but I scanned some Cacti. Put a point into Botany. Researched the greenhouse. And now I can grow adhesive and store it for future weapon mods. Yeah I can buy adhesive, but sometimes the vendor doesn't sell it and then I'm annoyed.

I find neon has the benches and plus a mining shop, newells and Siegfried's shop plus a trade authority. I just see what I need and then shop what's needed no more storage issues or need to fast travel like in alpha . I did have two outposts in my first play through ( robots also add production if you didn't know and you can have 3)

I'm enjoying being CF it was quite satisfying getting my own back for being put in jail. But I'm about to NG my second one but I think that's all I'm going to do as have already completed the main missions .
