I tried that FSD super charge at a few neutron stars and white dwarfs while exploring and it worked great.....for a while. Today however while charging the FSD near a white dwarf stream it said I got too close and it dropped out of super cruise and landed near the star. No problem I thought . Just let FSD cool down and jump away. The issue is that instead of stabilizing once out of super cruise, the ship continued to do that bucking and tumbling it does while flying through the white dwarf jets, even though i was no longer in super cruise. I had zero control of throttle, or any ship movement of any kind. I tried jumping within the system to get away from the star, but it kept saying align with vector. With the ship not offering any response to controls i couldn't align. I then tried to jump to another system. Same result. All the while the ship is taking damage, the canopy breached and I am over 2000LY past Colonia trying to reach beagle point. Eventually the oxygen ran out and the ship blew up. 25 million credit rebuy, lost all my exploration data to that point and my crew member dies permanently. When I re-spawned at Colonia dream station the weird sounds that the ship was making while it was tumbling near the star was still there, even though I was sitting at the dock in the station. The whispering sound of the white dwarf jet streams where also still playing. I think that this could be a bug. I can't believe that they would put in a mechanic where you have zero control of your ship and the only option you have is wait for the following 6-7 minutes while you die slowly. It is also a real pain to loose the crew member permanently in this fashion, especially when you don't die permanently it makes no sense that your crew member does. Anyway I sent in a support ticket to investigate if this is indeed a bug. Just wanted to warn others when charging your FSD near these stars that it may be fatal and that it may be bugged.
Edit: Just got confirmation from FD support. It is a bug and something they are working on and hopefully will be fixed asap. So be careful around these stars or stay away from them for now. Also want to give a big thanks to FD support for their help
