As Ed just confirmed - yes, it is! You may recall some of us that were lucky enough to visit FD a few weeks ago reporting a moment where Will was primed to film our reaction 'cos they knew it was gonna be good. Well, it was the reaction to the asteroid detonation (I can say this now right?). On a big screen with the sub-woofa's turned up to 11 this moment is PHENOMENAL!

Very carefully worded, I note. Not explicitly saying, 'Oi, macOS commanders, clean up your ships and get ready to leave'.

They say "public testing" in the post, so I assume it's an open beta.

Some betas have been limited to players who paid for beta access, last one was open tho (IIRC).
