BGS and ARXs

Same here, the only time I don't hit the cap is if I don't play at all that week. Standard space messing about and don't grind at anything seems to do it every time.
So basically casual playing gets rewarded but investing time to a specific cause gets zilch. Par for the course FDev
 
Which are basic activities. If you'd want to give Arx for BGS stuff you'd need to make it BGS specific. Which is probably hard to do and why it is how it is now.

If a player is out exploring for more than a week I can understand their frustration - they are effectively tied into one activity (gathering exploration data) that doesn't 'pay' all that well. Putting the emphasis on the doing rather than the completion (selling the data) makes more sense to me and requesting that change seems reasonable.

But a player who docks regularly, if they are concerned about earning ARX does have the option to do so. So maybe missions should pay out more, sure. But unlike long-term exploration, there is a work-around (sell exploration data & do combat stuff).

It would be nice to think that this initial implementation will evolve based on feedback & metrics, or that the disparity is a bug.

Grinding has always been its own reward, never been a good idea to do that.

Deliberately chasing ARX is a grind, just ignore it till you've got enough.
 
Running missions for inf+++ doesnt pay very well at all. Im not even getting a mil per mission. After like 10 of these i might get within a 100k of a mil but for the amount of time spent in game doing game activities they way they are offered doesnt seem to gratify the 'new player experience' they were so worried about earlier this year.

It does if you submit to interdictions and blast the pursuers, or drop into random signals along the way. You also make extra kills, mats and space-money.
 
I've not bothered to relegate my play time to what my Arx income has been. I can say, without a doubt, since its release, I have accumulated 415 Arx in total.

I'm a BGS player too, supporting a specific faction. The truth is, missions are not that effective for faction influence either. I only do them if I can't get in any other way, or for a change of pace. My favourite method is collecting bounties and using limpets to collect dropped materials on the side, both of which give me a lot of arx.
It feels a bit like doing missions is not encouraged.
