The irony of doing this while playing SC. But it's certainly a healthier streaming market.they're creating a video a week (or so) basically saying that Frontier are evil, and the game is (still) dead.

Sensationalism sells?Yeah, I wonder what that mean...
Or a lot of people didn't like Odyssey are a not interested by someone making videos about it ?Sensationalism sells?
(If you like my answer, don't forget to hammer those like, notify, and subscribe buttons!)
If they don't like the game anymore, why would anyone continue to cover it, unless all they wanted is the views. They need to move onto another game to cover.
Streams, or YouTube videos?LOL. Isnt that what they are doing?
I definitely am tired of the yapping over stock footage streams though.
If there is outrage there is clicks in outrage content. People want to feel validated. Some of the youtubers toxic environment, from their content of the streams which mostly consist of them moaning over stock footage, and their comments section filled with haters, are a wasteground. In my view, its all for clicks and views. If they don't like the game anymore, why would anyone continue to cover it, unless all they wanted is the views. Yep, case in point is D2EA - who's been (historically) one of the more positive people covering the game. (I believe he was one of the few, if not the only, youtuber who seemed genuinely moved/happy with the odd terrarium/station name Frontier sent out) His latest Elite video was released today, not a mention of the recent update from Davey Brabs, and is just the expected 10 minutes of stock Odyssey footage while he talks about the DOOOOM, citing his youtube statistics as proof, while the comments are toxic AF. (And, since his Elite video where he "turned heel" so to speak, his subscribers have jumped about 10k or so.)Some of the youtubers toxic environment, from their content of the streams which mostly consist of them moaning over stock footage, and their comments section filled with haters, are a wasteground. Video channels I should say. One of the reasons I liked Katie’s videos. It was actually game action taking place.Streams, or YouTube videos?
It's just weird seeing a community that was (by and large) fairly level headed descend into utter tabloid-flavoured farce.
I’ve read some crazy spit on teh interwebz today, including an article about Joe Exotic. But this is right up there in the crazy leagues.Because I'm not police to investigate. I just see they behave similar and at least 1 lies. So I would suggest they're lazy/misinformed/intentional/whatever. Cannot be trusted and should be ignored.
noUnless you stream for fun and out of passion for gaming(Follow me lol*)
*Don't, I stream in Polish and you won't understand a word, unless I'm swearing in English!
Neither has mine, LookFunny. My audience hasn't changed much...
Would be nice if Frontier realized that people want to watch things like Thargoid interceptor fights and PvP uhh activity and then also noticed that no one tunes in to watch someone relog at Jameson for hours. The new player experience is almost immediately being exposed to grind but having a thousand hour slog to reach the best parts of the game.Video channels I should say. One of the reasons I liked Katie’s videos. It was actually game action taking place.
This was confirmed by D2EA in is video yesterday. It's to be expected - FDev sold a buggy, MVP, after years of broken promises and intentional misinformation ("No VR at launch, sorry, we meant no VR ever"), after which we're treated like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed manure), with no channel to vent these frustrations. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you'd get demand for 'salty' content as a result. If there is outrage there is clicks in outrage content. People want to feel validated.
That's exactly how i feel too. Specially after they giftem them the Boxes. They should probably return them...I see it so that ED helped them to build theirs followers base and now they stabbed ED in the back.
That may be true for some, but for me the best part of the game is that early phase where you're just about scraping a living as a pilot for hire, lusting over pictures of the Python and Anaconda pinned to the inside of your Cobra cockpit. As an endless game there is no destination, so relax and enjoy the journey. The new player experience is almost immediately being exposed to grind but having a thousand hour slog to reach the best parts of the game.
