Anaconda is perfect war ship for CZs unless you have access to Vette which may be little better. This ship is also really multipurpose and can do quite well almost all, at cost of worse maneuverabulity :) which is natural for big ships (except vette)

Multipurpose means nothing as you cant carry your other loadout modules with you.

Combat - I have a Vette
Cargo - I have a Cutter
Exploration - I have a Krait Phantom and Asp E

High profile streamers are also migrating to other "similar games" in the genre.
I cant name these other "similar games" for fear of retribution form our insect overlords, but we all know what they are.

I guess those probably are different audiences. Maybe I should stop putting Fortnite thumbnails on my quantum field theory videos too.

Maybe because they seem more directly comparable to Elite. I'd llike to know more about X4 personally, but if i just want to fly a space ship / captain a single ship with NPC crew and not do any galaxy building / spreadsheeting, its unclear if X4 or any other game lets me do that. Star Citizen is looking very good in comparison to Odyssey IMO.
edit: To clarify, it'd be interesting to see streamers / Youtub types specifically produce content showing playing X or Y game "like Elite" and not properly per se.

I can fully understand Youtubers and streamers are changing coverage to other games, they need to keep their business going, but i've seen very few complaining for clicks, almost everything has been giving fair criticism of events going on.

Oh and @Obsidian Ant is covering EVE Online now, i always knew too much ED exploring gives you space-madness / he was secretly a ganker :oops: ;)

Both X4 and Space Engineers lets me do that, though I will confess that both games are designed with building in mind. That said, you can easily play X4 just like you play Elite (as I do more often than not). You can also play Space Engineers without doing a lick of design or building by starting in creative mode, downloading the starter ship of your dreams, and then switching to survival mode with your ship ready to go. From there you can trade and earn SC to buy prebuilt ships from various stations and outposts.

BTW, it was the misconception that X4 was only an empire-building game that scared me away from it for so long. Too bad there's so much misinformation out there regarding these two lovely games.

I won't bother replying with a GIF. Instead I'll use text and say there is a difference between critising the state of EDO on launch (which we all know was not ready) and the toxic environment they are continuing to nurture with their commentaries.
