Blueprint series update

If I was a bach...wait, I am.. with a shiny new room .. and a MASSIVE EMPTY WALL FOR A FARRAGUT BLUEPRINT..
... I wonder if OP lives in my country ...

Then get an OHP and print an inverse of the blueprint on transparency, then project onto your wall. Looks okay? Right, first step; paint the wall a nice deep blue. Let that dry. Now the slow part. With white paint and a small round brush, trace the projection. Work systematically - i.e. do one element at a time.

If you want to do the background lines, you'll need a blue paint two shades lighter and a long string. lightly brush the string in the paint, then with the help of a friend hold it to the wall, with a little tension and "pluck" it. That will leave a light, hopefully uneven straight line on the wall. Rinse and repeat downwards, adding a paint top-up now and then.

Post a photo of the finished wall and get famous!

Some good tips there; thanks! :)
I'm not very good with painting (I struggle drawing straight lines with a ruler)... but your tips did give me an idea.

I have a laser cutter.. if I could take the Farragut BP and turn it into a wireframe model in CORELDraw, I will be able to cut it out of a piece of really thin Mylar and then use that + the white paint to get a really accurate and detailed BP on my wall.

My biggest concern is that it'll clash with the rest of the theme in my room.. so it's something I need to think about still. :p
