Watching with interest!
Today I bought a Keelback in Bob's memory. I might not be able to play every day but I might make a thread and tell her story (or should I? I don't want to step on anyone's toes). She has the Black Friday paintjob in memory of Bob's death but I have named her Eyes Wide Open in memory of his life. Hopefully she can live up to that name. Here is the story of her first day:

She has the Black Friday paintjob in memory of Bob's death but I have named her Eyes Wide Open in memory of his life. Hopefully she can live up to that name. Here is the story of her first day:
After completing her outfitting at Jameson Memorial, where she was commissioned, the Eyes Wide Open stocked up on medicines, including the mystical Waters of Shintara, to help deal with an outbreak that had been reported in the distant systems of Ceos and Sothis. Before she made that journey, however, there was a duty that first needed to be performed and she visited the space station Invergary in the Deklar system to pay her respects to Bob. There she released four bursts of chaff outside the station entrance: one for each day of Bob's life.
.
After docking to pause a moment in reflection, she then left for Ceos, thirty jumps away. On her way out of the station she passed another Keelback coming in to dock - a good omen, perhaps? The journey was quick and uneventful: the pilot, CMDR Edelgard von Rhein, had recently competed in the tenth Buckyball Run and the medicines were urgently needed so the jumps were done at race pace, though without sustaining heat damage as sometimes happens when racing!
.
In Ceos, there were ships requesting medicines and, hoping that this might get help to where it was needed the fastest, the Eyes Wide Open transferred her cargo of Basic Medicines to a Type 9 designated as Disaster Appeal. This ship was not interested in the Waters of Shintara, however, so she made her way to dock with the station and sold them on the market there as normal. She ended her first day docked at New Dawn Station.
.
Perhaps the outbreak will be over tomorrow - or perhaps she will do some missions to help? There is also the exploration Community Goal to consider at Garoku, which is important for very different reasons, and the Eyes Wide Open has some exploration data from her journey to Ceos that may be helpful. There is also the lure of the black, as Ceos is one of the most distant systems ever colonised...
