Bold predictions 2023

Here’s mine:

I believe we’ll get both the Ratel (Honey Badger) AND Wolverine this year and they’ll use a similar rig.

I also believe we’ll see a lot of the birds we wish for in a aviary pack/ expansion but they will be In walkthrough exhibits and not a new aviary system. We will also see a lot of ground habitat birds like the secretary bird and shoebill.

We will see sea turtles or another semi aquatic ocean animal but not many other sea creatures this year. (I hope I’m wrong)

Please not another red river hog arguement 🤣 Yes we can argue peccaries are more essential but red river hog can be as common as the warthog so debatable on whether it's a waste of space or not

I mean, I could say the same for a bunch of other animals. For one, emus. Never have I seen one, as the Houston Zoo lacks Australian animals. I've only seen koalas, wombats, and wallabies...

I could say the same for all the crocs in the game. I've only seen the alligator and gharial, but none of the others. I didn't even hear about the dwarf caiman until the Aquatic pack came out...

In my mind, any animal is essential, whether it's popular or not. Every species adds something for me, in-game, whether I've heard of them or not

Really depends on which country you're from. In some they are omnipresent and in some completely unheard of with barely any middle ground.

I personally don't prioritize it but I also wouldn't be against its inclusion

But what is the point of this statement? Obviously any animal adds something, but I think we can all agree, for example, the sloth offers mire than nearly every animal, including the RRH, which in turn would be preferred by all over the Yacare Caiman.

A lot of people say: "this adds nothing and is a wasted slot". I'm not saying that a peccary is worse than a RRH, but saying that it's wasted because you don't have a connection is just, I dunno how to explain. Like, it's like saying it's a bad choice, when there are other players who consider it the best choice ever.

And in personal terms, I'm basically saying that, for me, there is no true wasted slot except for the HBB.

To be fair I wouldn't necessarily think of warthog as tropical even though they live in the tropics. They are more of desert/grassland suida to me. I have seem both chocoan peccaries and red river hogs, and I would definitely like to have both, I just prefer the looks of the red river hog more. But I do agree that peccaries are more unique in an overall sense. I would love both tbh.
