BPC lied to me...

....

I was going to add in user registration, but parked it as it seemed like an API was being talked about by FD. Seeing as that has come to nothing, I might get back on the user reg bandwagon - don't update? You don't get to download data....

+ 1 for user registration!

Also, as already pointed out, if people don't update the prices then what do they expect and I've got NO sympathy for people who just use it to leech data and then make a loss on a route. They then come on here and complain about the tool and how crap it is :(:S

Lol, people today want everything for nothing. I would neg rep the OP but I cant any more. Its a tool.....a guide....its not a gospel written in stone, and if you dont add data its not going to be right. Either people are whinging that the economy doesnt work properly, but when it does they blame an excellent tool like Slopeys BPC for their own incompetence.

Love your trading tool

@OP - don't like it? Don't use it. I'm not forcing you to...

If you DO use it, then PLEASE "use it properly" and update prices. I get PM's day in and day out saying "YOU COST ME MILLIONS CUZ THE PRICES WERE WRONGZZZ!!!!", but when I ask if they ever update the prices themselves, they either go quiet, or say no.

The data is crowdsourced, that means people have to enter that data (manually or via EliteOCR) - and those people are YOU!

If the data in the BPC is out of date, the only people who are at fault for that are the very users complaining that it's out of date. If nobody updates and just leeches the data, it'll always be out of date - so do the community a favour and update some prices occasionally.

But TL:DR - Don't use it if you don't like it, and if you do use it - update prices in it occasionally please....

I love your trading tool & I use it all the time, but lately I've been getting this error message:- Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Value was either too large or too small for an Int 16. Couldn't store <1117029> in Max Avail Column. Expected type is Int 16. Also it keeps trying to update but is unable to.

6.8 Million profit off of 100 tons is just ludicrous and you should have been suspicious of it from moment one.

Modify some parameters...only choose to be shown trades where the unit profit is less than 3k (though imp. slaves are getting up there now) and more than the minimum you are willing to move for.

You can also filter on any of the columns. For example, I've filtered Item Stock to only show stations whose stock at least covers my own max cargo (quite annoying when you get somewhere to only find 5 tons of gold).

Anymore now, once you start contributing data, better routes are revealed. BPC is great at just comparing all the information available and it works much better when you provide data for the areas you want to trade in.
