Breaking the game & Cheats!

I don't mind anyone using cheats, regardless of scenario mode or not, as long as it doesn't count in the big whole grand scheme of a global high score list or achievements. If there is a high score chart at all though.
Playing fair while chasing the highest score (in any game) is more fun. When the first person cheats in order to top the high score charts, it marks the beginning of the end..

No cheats in campagne or scenario mode. If we want competition with scores and achievements so it doesn't have to be in. Just to be fair. But of course you can play sandbox and activate all cheats.
And custom scenery has nothing to do with cheating the game! If you don't want to use it that's ok.

What the hell are you talking about ??? [weird]

When you use a cheatcode in a game who have achievements, the fact of using the cheatcode disables all the "success".
It's like a standard for ... years now (and it just seems obvious ...)
Nothing new here.

Personaly, i dont want to use cheatcodes (because, i'm a sandbox player, so cheatcodes are 100% useless in this mode since you can do what you want), but if people want to play with cheatcodes in the solo mode, it's not your business guys.

Nobody has the right to say "no, you dont have the right to use cheatcode, because personally I dont like it."
It's crazy that you would absolutely prevent people from playing the way they want. [bored]

Of course we are talking about the Campaign/Scenario mode.
You cannot use cheatcodes in the Sandbox mode because you already have all powers [weird]

If there was an across-the-board agreement, where every player who will ever play this game said "I don't want cheats", fine, but even if one person said "I do want cheats", cheats should be in the game. This isn't your personal game, a lot of people want to play it in a lot of different ways.

Get off your high horse. Making statements like "No, I don't want that feature in the game" and telling me to leave the forum? Who do YOU think you are? My argument is that an optional feature like cheats should be in the game, regardless of how many people will use it, and I think it's really crappy when people like you just decide that no, we shouldn't have that in the game, since YOU don't personally want it. This isn't a game development meeting, it's a suggestion thread and someone suggested cheats, and some of us want cheats in the game, so how dare you enter the thread to shut us all down!

I think cheatcodes are irrelevant. I'm assuming that the game will have a sandbox mode, so if done right and we have the proper building freedoms, we won't need cheatcodes. Guests will ride the rides and we can amp up guest volume in our parks at our choosing. Coaster speeds and heights will be seemingly limitless (seemingly being the key word). If people want cheatcodes for a money management scenario in the game, I am indifferent towards that. Just so long as cheatcodes are not necessary to stop rides from always breaking down and things like that, then the game should be fine.

Frontier and David Walsh are definitely needed in Sandbox mode, having certain rides break down all the time in sandbox even with mechanics checking them so often got annoying fast

David Walsh is not a cheat as it just hides the UI, hopefully this can be enabled as a keyboard shortcut in the UI to toggle as in Ctrl+U

My problem is this: If you're playing the management mode and it has hidden cheat codes for things like more money or building space, that's fine. What bothers me is in RCT3 when you're in sandbox mode and NEED cheatcodes to build higher coasters or not have rides breakdown, etc... height limits should be able to accommodate very large coasters and buildings, especially since the polar coaster idea is out there and so is the stratosphere tower and vertical amusement park. Speed limits should enable us to accommodate launch/lift speeds over 150mph since the world's fastest coaster is about that speed, and we should be given freedom for a little more than the current record holder.

The bottom line is this: things like rides not breaking down or breaking down less frequently and coaster speeds and heights being expanded, should ALL be in the options menu in sandbox. Whatever the cheatcodes/options are in career mode or the scenario mode or whatever form of management mode is in the game, I am indifferent towards. As long as I don't need to enter cheatcodes to have proper freedom of building to new heights and speeds, and can control how often E-stops happen (and even force them to happen like in NL2) or don't happen, then I am fine with cheatcodes existing. In short: cheatcodes should not be necessary to control the variables they did in RCT3 when one uses the sandbox mode.
