Are there any noticeable effects that show in nearby systems for other powers? Like we were doing bounty hunting for the CG in LFT 42 for some Archer merits yesterday and that resulted in probably 15k reinforcement max.
 
Yep, given the additional supercruise & docking, and the likeliness you won't get a close parking space when delivering, I think FCs only make sense when the CG is about rare goods, because then you can significantly cut down on the final delivery trips.
I thought you cant store rare goods at FC?

Exactly my thinking. I never use my FC except for Rare goods CGs :)

You can store them but not trade with them.

If you do that again could you accidentally hit a few Azimuth ships?

Approximately 18000 reinforcement, 2000 undermining. So probably not much more than you doing it, at least for Archer.

(Now at 2.46M vs 96k for the CG system itself)

Yeah, I was wondering if this happened in some other systems where you could bounty hunt for the CG and get merits - either by controlling faction or installation control + system states to spawn scenarios. Doesn't seem like other bounty hunting powers have much hold here though and people from non-bounty hunting focused powers might not even think of it.
 
One question: What sense does it make to have the CG continue for a week after the colonization update? Nobody will be participating in the CG because everybody will be colonizing. Doesn't make much sense to haul stuff to the CG station when you have stuff to haul to your new colony.
 
The extension of the previous CG by a week due to the Lockdown means that this one is starting and therefore ending a week later, but they weren't able to find a corresponding bug to require delaying the update itself.

(Yes, they could have just halved the targets)
 
But why copper?
Power Generators were two jumps away in my 35 Ly (ladden) Cutter and netted me 4.5 millions per run (576T).
1 jump is basically an extra minute...
This. With my new V1 SCO FSD in my Cutter I even jumped to Ra in one jump to Ra, two to Starlace.

I'm not planning on rushing right out and starting a colony first day. I want to wait and see how it all works before deciding if I'm going to or not.
I'll probably keep hauling away. Unless they release the Mandalay, then I'll probably go exploring.

I guess you are going exploring then - Mandalay now available for credits. :)

We really need to get this CG completed even if it means putting off doing much for Colonisation in the meantime. The 8 ships to be deployed if it completes will make things like CMM Composites more readily available from them. As it stands now we'll be lucky to get 5 or 6.
 
I could see this CG reaching tier 7 but T8 seems a little far out of reach without an extremely significant uptick in effort (and I don’t see that one happening). Even before colonizing ‘my precious’ (just a little joke) began distracting people.
