waiting for a DLC is frustrating because especially when the DLC is revealed and you still haven’t got the items you need to build the park the way you want.
PC has the ability to introduce MODs and it frustrates me as a Console gamer that I can not get access to some of these really well made mods.
I don’t understand why they can’t be made available for the console platform.
Especially when Bethesda has put mods on Fallout and Skyrim with ease on the console. Even the Sims which is a world builder game has player mode. So using the idea of how Bethesda does it. Would Frontieer Games do something along those lines. I made a mock up below.
On how mods would work. Say you have a limit of 30 mods downloaded at any one time that way it keeps the game overloaded. Also the mods uploaded are vetted by the Frontieer staff meaning - it’s a play at your own risk but Frontieer has full authority on what is uploaded. As the individual customers can not just submit a mod they created in consoles as could cause problems so having a vetting team would be good. Could have staff favourite picks on mods and best voted as the top two interests but as you scroll down you get into categories like dinosaurs, fences, paths, attractions, guest etc
fyi I didn’t create the mods in the image below I just took a few from online at was popular to help display how I view a mod system would work on console. And further more this wouldn’t effect any future dlc as dlc is considered official so even if you do bring out a dlc in the future that someone has already done a mod of the sales dynamics has shown that dlcs wins over mods and has no effect. I used to work in sales for video game dlcs. But introducing Mods would increase the longevity of the game even if you stopped producing dlcs
