I've updated the OP with the new runs by @crotalus and @Edelgard von Rhein, with the updated unlimited tables also posted here.
First up the ever-prolific Cmdr Crotalus beat his own unlimited Beluga class record with a terrific time of 03:02:40 in Cetus.
A little behind Crotalus, Cmdr Edelgard von Rhein arrived at Sadge in the Krait Phantom Palomino in 03:47:23 after an eventful and frustrating trip, where navigation problems meant that the Palomino slipped off the Neutron highway. The run also included one of those white dwarf mishaps and so Edelgard was fortunate just to arrive in one piece. Under those circumstances, I think 3h47 is an excellent time. o7 Cmdr!
This was apparently Cmdr ElitePenguin's (@FlyingPenguin) first visit to Sadge, but it certainly didn't take him long to get there. ElitePenguin became the tenth Cmdr to join the two-hour club, reaching the centre only 1:43:46 after launching from Galileo in a blistering run in Freedom Phantom to snatch the Krait Phantom class record from @Dr_Chives by all of six seconds, which makes it the second fastest 'non-conda' run in history. Welcome to the BRC Cmdr, you've announced yourself in style!
Commander "Admiral Spoon"
Ship Type: Type 9 Heavy
Ship Name: "Sailfish 2"
Class: Classic
Time: 15 Hours 19 Minutes 44 Seconds
Special Conditions: None (unless doing it on Linux with Proton counts)
First up in unlimited class, the unstoppable CMDR Crotalus knocked over an hour off his own Alliance Challenger record with a great run of 2h56m27s in Pearl.
Also in Unlimited CMDR Edelgard van Rhein also took over an hour off their existing PB in the Krait Phantom Palomino, getting to Sadge in 2h32m59s, despite being pretty poorly at the moment. o7 Cmdr - and get well soon.
In between those two runs, CMDR Admiral Spoon resurrected Classic Class with a stunning run of 15h19m44s in Sailfish 2 to retake his Type-9 Heavy record from @Darplata94. @SpoonLoeffel reckons that a sub 15 hour T9 classic run is definitely possible - and as BRC and Operation-Ida regulars know, I'm a big fan of the Type-9 - but there's no damn way I'd fly one all the way to Sadge in classic class! So we'll just have to leave to those two crazies and see if CMDR Darplata wants the record back!
While I was blowing the cobwebs off the old spreadsheet yesterday, I took the opportunity to update all the other tables - including the record history by ship type tables that are hidden away in post#1.
It turns out that 22-APR-3309 is 8 years to the day since CMDR Kligg (@robinjb) became the first commander to complete @ElectricZ's crazy new event the Buckyball Run A* in his Asp Explorer Grey Mullet.
So this seems as good a time as any to post updates of the crazy combined tables and a graph or two.
In the 8 years since Kligg departed Sol, determined to break @Anuranium's speed run record which had inspired this whole crazy event, a total of 197 commanders have made the run to Sadge, logging 328 unique leaderboard entries. The total number of runs is much higher, as some ship/cmdr combos have been used more than once of course.
The commander who has made the most runs of all is of course @crotalus, who has a total of 56 entries on the leaderboard and an amazing 48 class records. 10 other commanders have at least 4 separate unique entries logged:
Here is a showing the distribution of entries, by ship type (the 2nd most popular - the Anaconda - has made only one more run than Crotalus):
And then under the spoiler is the huge combined table that lists every entry together (regardless of class) ranked by time, from @Ravenov's stunning 01:24:38 (and that's not even using the new pre-engineered FSD) to Cmdr @matokla's more leisurely 218 day voyage to Sadge in his Asp-X Apollo 13.
I've updated the OP with @Edelgard von Rhein's improved time of 2h20m59s in the Krait Phantom Palomino.
CMDR von Rhein is hoping to make further improvements before joining in the Thargoid Structure Scramble 2 next weekend. Good luck CMDR o7.
Edelgard also pointed out a duplicate entry on the unlimited leaderboard - @MrQuark had Anaconda runs in both 17th and 27th places - so I've fixed that and also added some duplicate entry checks to the spreadsheet, so it shouldn't happen again.
That does mean that the above combined data is a little incorrect - after 8 years, we're actually on 197 CMDRs with 327 unique CMDR/Ship entries. It also means that @crotalus has the same number of logged runs as the 2nd most popular ship type (the Anaconda) - so only the Asp Explorer has more entries on the boards than CMDR Crotalus.
Here is the updated Unlimited Leaderboard, which I've also remembered to sort this time, so Edelgard appears in the correct place.
I'm currently looking a how to best tidy up and update the forum OP. I've actually got the first three posts available, so I can reorganise to make it all a bit more readable and up to date - and also include some FAQ from the wealth of information that's buried in the A* Challenge Discord channel.
Hoping to get in another run before the weekend, as I might be busy with other things then (and I'll have an extra day to get back for the Thargoid Structure Scramble 2).
Intent to race:
CMDR Edelgard von Rhein
Unlimited class
Krait Phantom Palomino
Run complete!
I ran with an extra 2C fuel tank and it cost me three extra jumps on one leg but saved me a jump on two others, so I'll have to see if I can improve that leg. I will need to make route improvements to have a decent chance of breaking 2 hours anyway.
CMDR Edelgard von Rhein
class: Unlimited
ship type: Krait Phantom
ship name: Palomino
race time: 2:16:17

I hope to be back in the Bubble to make an attempt at The Thargoid Structure Scramble 2 this weekend sometime (including Monday in the weekend, as it's a bank holiday).
P.S. I think the finish screenshot is not showing because part of the address happens to be running foul of the swear filter!
I've updated the unlimited leaderboard in the OP to include @Edelgard von Rhein's latest run.
The rest of the tidying up, I'll get around to after the current Swift-16 race has finished.
I've updated the OP leaderboards to include the latest run by CMDR @crotalus - a rarely seen Neutron Class run, in the even more rarely seen Type-9 Heavy.
o7 Crotalus.
