Bug: FSS zoom can start rotating as you pan across a group of moons/bodies

In the interest of getting more visibility (and comments!) on this issue that's bugged me (pun intended) for a long time in the Live game:

When you're in FSS mode, and you're zoomed in on a gas giant, or distant star, with a large collection of bodies orbiting it, you'll find that as you move across the group away from the parent body, the FSS view will start to rotate faster and faster the farther you are from the body. The farther away the group is, the more extreme it can get, and sometimes it's the only zoom level you can be in to focus on the other bodies - so you end up having to 'chase' the bodies around.

Video of it in action here:

its one of those bugs they hope goes away as they appear to have no idea how to fix it given its been going since fss release
which is hardly a new thing now

@Factabulous It's already in the reported issue tracker; link is at the end of the post. Trouble is, the issue will expire and be ignored if not enough (10 or more) confirmations/comments from other players are added to the issue, so I shared it here to get some more visibility & confirmation from other players.

as for making them aware of this I refuse to believe they were not fully aware upon the release of this update period
and you can see it happen in a live webcast from them about fss sounds

Nah - expired doesn't stop them looking at issues - they've said that before. I imagine they looked at it, saw that it's pretty rare and maybe decided it's more effort to fix than they have available right now. Apparently the more pressing bug is the '1' in the comms window ...
