Bugs prevent human from being able to win

Hi guys, i'm really disappointed regarding how bugs make it impossible to win in the Thargoid war:

* Thargoid Combat zone bug:
Infinite scouts waves is an old bug, preventing the possibility to end and win the CZ. Unfortunately Frontier didn't correct this before launching a completely Thargoid orientated story... Human can not win since AX CZ never ends most of the time.

* Yesterday, with multiple commanders the Hydra just vanished with its 4 remaining hearts. Here again, impossible to finish the CZ and win.

* Jump to star toward Thargoid systems bug:
Sherry on the cake, just to really ruin the game experience, since update 14, when the ship jumps toward thargoid system, everything seems fine, correct amount of fuel is removed from tank, but after jump you are still in the departure system. Since update 14 each time you go toward Thargoid, you have to jump twice to make 1 jump.


Please Frontier, fix this

Agree, this one is really annoying
 
Agree, I did many stations defend scenarios with other commanders in open. it Was impossible to finish them. I got like 500 mil in bonds but due to bugs none of the scenarios were finished. We had anything from infinite waves of scouts or infinite waves of cyclopes, or invisible cyclopes that prevented new interceptors to enter the instance.
 
Yea, i've encountered a lot of issues with instancing in the thargoid affected systems lately.

More specifically in HIP 23716.
I had lots of stuck and/or bugged instances.
I had quite an amount of crash to desktop issues, when entering or exiting supercruise, followed by quite noticeable rollbacks (i crash trying to drop at the destination station, after reload i still find meself in the source station)
i had an interceptor pop in the instance, people start hammering it and then it disappears - like it gets split from the instance (i got the feeling that some players disappeared as well)

Sure, the solution might not be trivial since it seem to stem from the underlaying p2p - and some people might have really crappy internet which in turn may affect instancing for everyone.

Maybe the title was not clear enough: when i said bug, i refered to programmation mistakes et servers malfunctions, not the Thargoids.

Thargoid fights should be challenging, if you want to make them a real threat to human bubble. But If the game crashes, lags, and stops working during the fight, especially if several commanders are in the same instance, it's just a broken game, no fun whatso ever.

I try to be positive and not rag on the game too much but last night just flat out p*##ed me off. Nothing worked. None of the CZs could be completed. Nobody could use chat to send invites. Trying to use the coms panel at all was asking for UI lockups. Couldn't instance with anyone that was indicating they needed help at a location. Woe unto the CZ where a commander arrived and deployed an AX fighter, yeah have fun making hits. Invisible everythings.

In short all the same crap that's been broken for 3 and 4 years. All this lead up and hype and importance now assigned to the same broken elements that have not been fixed since I first shot at a Thargoid 4 years back. It's just sad. I ended up just taking the Orca and running rescues since instancing was hopelessly broken.

I've not had the rest to station thing. Now that I've read it it will happen.

The disappearing interceptor. Is this different from them spinning with petals turned back and opening a black warp cloud? All those actions tell me that it may be intended behavior. Saw it many times. Each time was only if the interceptor was receiving withering fire.

I have had the crash on instance entry and the endless scouts stuck scenarios and last night the invisible interceptors.

That means a bugged hyperdiction, and seems to be a networking issue.
Not a networking issue. It's currently impossible to get hyperdicted if you're part of a team. The issue described (ending up back at the main star) will happen instead of the hyperdiction.

As for complaining about it wasting fuel, that would still happen if the "bug" didn't exist - you'd just get hyperdicted instead and be staring down an interceptor without enough fuel to jump away.
 
Add to that several other issues:
  • Invisible scouts that can be hit only by tracking them when they are selected as active target
  • Invisible interceptors that are marked on radar and are selectable but nothing can be done to them and only sounds plays out when you close in
  • Getting permanently disabled by interceptor - ship not returning to normal after several minutes despite seeing properly fight that is ongoing nearby with other players, forcing player to relog (after relog almost all modules are turned off)
  • EDIT: Add immortal scouts to that as well...
