In this case - how much for a decent clipper? 80 million?
Thats a pretty hefty price to pay - though if someone racks up their bounty to 500 million or so it doesn't sound like much,
It's around 86 million before discounts and 73 million with 15%.

But guess what, with the ever new money fountains that completely screw up the economy of the whole game, devaluating credits and prices this isn’t really a problem, is it? 80 millions? That’s half hour of “fun” gameplay at the nearest skimmer mission system.
“Fun” money fountains are the single biggest problem in this game, for they have direct effects on pretty much everything else, from trading and missions to, as this case makes spectacularly clear, crime and punishment.
Two issues with that.Ding ding!, we have a winner folks! yes I simply sell my wanted ship and engineer a new one... with the new engineers it takes about 30min, if I die I take the sidewinder.
Two issues with that.
a)In your pictures showing you going from "Wanted with 200M Cr" to "Clean" has the same Credit Balance. That shouldn't be possible by ditching your ship.
b)And that shouldn't be possible with the Legacy modules being transferred, as they should still be hot and need to be paid off or lose them in the process.
So, I'd say it's not as easy as you make it out to be. Care to elaborate?
The price of the ship isn't too relevant, no?
If you sell it before being caught, you'll get 90% of your money back.
According to FDev (I know, but still), the modules of the wanted ships should also be hot and need to be paid off for the new ship to not be wanted as well. HP uses Legacy Frag Cannons and he shouldn't be able to move them over to the new ship without "cleaning them."You don't have to sell the ship. just change into another ship. bounty is on the ship - not the pilot.

See the problem?
Correct my legacy modules are stuck unless i pay to clean them, I already had a second clipper so that's why my balance is the same... I have like 6 or 7 clippers for different builds.
So, "if I die I take the sidewinder" also applies if the Legacy modules are fitted?Correct my legacy modules are stuck unless i pay to clean them, I already had a second clipper so that's why my balance is the same... I have like 6 or 7 clippers for different builds.

Well, that makes your "trick" a little less "magical" tbh. I thought you said you had a way to get around paying the bounties if you died. You actually meant that you had a way to get around paying the bounties if you died after changing to a clean ship.
Colour me disappointed.
Eh, that was pretty much a highlighted feature of the new C&P; switch ships and you are clean.I never suggested it was an exploit simply a method that many will not take as it requires effort.
