Call to Arms for a Free Colonia

What? I missed all the fun? Damn me and my procrastinating ways (actually, me getting a halfway decent ship put together). ;)

Seriously, though, a very snappy salute and a cheer to all of the Browncoats from near and far for standing up to outside meddling, out-STANDING! Also, and this goes for the war as a whole, great content. If it's not over or if it happens again, I hope to be able to participate in the next round. I don't usually care much for squabbles that don't involve me directly, but this one was worth fighting for, even for a lone wolf such as myself. Pity I didn't get ready in time, but rest assured I was there in spirit (not much, I know, but it was all I could do at the time).

Now, surely, putting aside all of the water under the bridge about how this whole thing started, a peace deal shouldn't be all that hard to hammer out, no? It seems obvious to me that the good citizens of Colonia were quite happy with the way things were, and it's not like the Nameless are looking to expand anywhere, they just want to stay in control of their one system.

That's not a hard ask to me, not at all, but, then again, that's why this war got even me fired up in the first place.

Here's to hoping for peace and, if all else fails...

Si vis pacem, para bellum.

o7, CMDRs, you did the impossible, and that makes you mighty!

More work yet to do, but first:

No worries, it's far from over, you can still join the fun.
And many tnx for recognizing correctly what's going on in Colonia region and for your support.

The following only reflects my own personal opinion and has no relation to the opinions of Spear as a whole or the Triple A Alliance.

I had done my homework and informed myself sufficiently about the overall situation in this sector before I proposed a campaign in which a large part of Spear's forces would be deployed 20,000 light years away.

There are some rational people on the other side with whom one could probably even negotiate reasonably, but as long as the tyrants who are currently in control are not disempowered I will not sit down at any table.
As long as the current Reaper leadership has not been effectively removed for all future and all links to SDC/GGI have been severed there will be no negotiations in my view.

And it is very high on my personal agenda to change the balance of power in this sector to stabilize it in the long run.
People who have driven in the past a larger group of people out of this sector and out of this game have, in my opinion, lost any right of co-determination in this area of space.

I say the following as fleet commander of SPEAR and this also applies to all forces that are currently in the Colonia Sector and will continue to be.

Of course, pilots who fought for their cause in this war and believe in their cause are not automatically targets of our task forces.
They will of course continue to hunt only killers who repeatedly and demonstrably attack peaceful people who cannot or do not want to defend themselves.

I can sympathize with you.

I, too, find it very difficult to admit that I'm wrong, although, when I do admit it, the sense of relief and inner peace is almost palpable. So I can understand you would find it difficult to admit you were wrong immobilizing your squadron's forces for nothing. It would probably have serious repercussions in your command structure.

So, yeah, you'll continue the hostilities and we'll continue to fight back to keep what we have, what Colonia has. I'm sorry that roleplay has become a clash of egos.

I'd prefer to build than destroy, but we can't always have what we want.

Please reconsider,

cmdr Yianniv

Akumers post only proofs my last message that spear are seeking an attention since their losses in pvp and bgs. They left bubble hotspots to be turned into Gankistan and decided to try themselves in bgs again. What did we see here? Riedquat 2.0 when spear tried to play with bears to "punish" pvp faction for their gameplay. And you lost again. The fact that you mention SDC whose players were not sighted during this conflict and GGI (why not GCI??) thats just a chat server already shows a lot about your attitude to this war and possibility of negotiations. Anyway, I have better suggestion, any negotiations with spear can happen only when the current spear leadership will be effectively removed for all future, otherwise they dont deserve to have a serious talk about any politics

oh interesting you mention riedquat. well is it anarchy now...? you all think too much in short terms.

Try looking up how leadership really works in an anarchy system. As anticipated, you're effectively asking us to stop playing the game.

Words said by every empire in history when they lost territory. How'd that go?
Of course, pilots who fought for their cause in this war and believe in their cause are not automatically targets of our task forces
All evidence to the contrary. So far you've been our best recruitment tool with your attacks on random players

So to boil it down @TEBORI you don't like a couple of players so you're going to plunge an entire region of the galaxy into chaos indefinitely. As stated elsewhere if you can't bring yourself to speak directly to certain people then I and many others are quite willing to act as go between but please take up the offer because you are only making yourself and your cause look increasingly ridiculous
