We've got upcoming 4-player multicrew, and there's a major problem that I've not seen mentioned as awareness by the team. Hopefully they are aware and are working on it.
Currently, when you are in physical multicrew, and you die, you return to the last location you were non-multicrewed at (or to your ship location). This means if I get off my ship at Placeholder Orbital, join 3 other friends (We'll call them Jim, Jane, and Jeri), get on Jeri's ship and fly to Systemname A2, the following is a likely scenario:
Jim, Jane, Jeri and Dahak exit the ship. Jim is on foot, the rest are in SRVs. Jeri doesn't notice this fact and runs over Jim. Jim respawns... at Placeholder Orbital.
Jeri, Jane and Dahak head in SRVs to Convenient Groundholding. On arrival, Jane is hostile and gets hit by a rocket, destroying the SRV and killing Jane. Jane respawns at... Placeholder Orbital.
Jeri and Dahak go into the facility, kill everyone (they were scavengers, honest) and loot the power core. On the way out, Dahak gets hit by a dropped-in wave of scavengers and dies, although the SRV is fine. I respawn at... Plcaeholder Orbital.
If we could respawn at the last vehicle we exited that still exists instead, this would make physical multicrew a TON more fun! As it is, the post-death-transit issue means that it's not worth using multicrew for getting to ground content.
