Can anyone tell me why we can't get a deer?

Bronx zoo has one of the most amazing PDD habitats ever. I love that they have access to the lake and mud. It’s what they love the most

It is amazing! The water even attracts wild waterfowl. But the deer playing in the mud was my favorite!

My favorite Père David’s deer enclosure was actually not in the zoo but in the wild animal park where the space was huge and access to the water was limitless.
They’ve shared the enclosure with Przewalski wild horse.
