Besides I don't unerstand really why people get so worked up over it I mean the instructions how to use it are in the component's name pulse wave ANALyzer... of anything I would rage over the fact that it was not working correctly since it was implemented in the game...

😶😶😶

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

All this PWA commentary cracks me up, it's not the PWA that's out of whack, its your ship that is incorrectly oriented :p

it indeed cracks one up.

so frontier, who boasts of being the #1 game developer and publisher in the uk, introduces a game breaking bug, leaves it rotting for months, and then suddenly some representative claims to be acutely aware and concerned and comes up with some pathetic excuse for the freshmen in the team being clueless on how to fix their very own screw up, because they are sooooo busy slamming together the next bug ridden mess they want to sell you, so they have no time to fix the bug ridden mess you already paid.

literally: they arxe up, then whine sorry we have no clue, and we are too busy arxing up the next thing.

mind. blown. what the arxe is wrong with this generation ...

Seriously though, it also tickles me that none of you mining geniuses have figured out a workaround, like this one I came up after giving it 4 minutes thought...

Turn Flight Assist OFF, and pitch 180° (and counter to stop rotation)
Fire PWA while travelling backwards relative to the direction you are facing
Pitch 180° (and counter to stop rotation) to realign ship orientation with direction of travel
Turn Flight Assist ON and look for your next glowing bling boulder to blast
Buy Scottish sounding imperial bloke some Lavian Brandy as a thank you for this suggestion.

here's another: they can stuff the pwa and the minerals (and their new fracking game) where it best pleases them until they, erm, get a grip and fix their crap.

I'm detecting strong vibes of indecision on your part regarding whether you'll be buying Odyssey or not? As someone who has been in this forum since 2014, don't you think the PWA pales into insignificance when compared to the great beigificaiton?

Add in goto camera and turn flight controls on too.
You can then fa-off backwards and keep pressing the pulse while having a much larger field of view.

now you've done it... all miners on PC, rage mode ON
Lol well I was being serious. It does work fine on the PS4.
I do a scan, then I see glowing roids in front and to the sides of me. It shows both surface and core deposits.
Next time I do a bit of mining I'll do a video to show it if you want.
