I encountered the same problem yesterday, but switching to Horizons and back worked for me.

You can't interdict apex.

Yeah, I was 90% sure of that, But I had hoped I could get them to add me to a team after logging out and in fast enough before the ship went into supercruise. unfortunately that didn't work out.

The only way out of a bugged taxi is if someone destroys it for you, as you've said. They forgot to put cancel in there. We shouted about it in Alpha. Yet here we are.

At least we are getting some hilarious threads

No suitably deadly ring system in the Alpha 1 system ... no-one used Apex much after Alpha 1.

Still, at least when the next C&P thread suggests that "griefers should be sent to jail for hours before they're allowed out" we can say "they tried that and it went really badly"

Both horizons and base game, I can spam recover to orbit as much as I want and it load.

Did you do anything in horizons or just log in? Where did Horizons put you?

When I had a CTD I had to jump out of the system in Horizons and then it was OK to go back into EDO.

EDIT: OK. Support ticket it is.

I tried joining a crew, when I backed out it brought me back to the taxi.
