I can see many griefers having an existential crisis over this. A chance to gank an unarmed player, but in doing so they’re helping someone else...

I had something similar last night.
After finally getting an Apex taxi out of the detention place back to SOL the taxi would not dock with Gorbachev station
Docking clearance timed out twice so
Iogged out to the main menu and back in again.
The taxi got clearence again and docked ok this time.
I am sure this will be sorted once the beta is over

Were you in Open? Pad hogging is annoyingly common.
Wonder how many more players would be caught in this trap (or something even worse).

Literally game breaking, not even exaggerating here. How this went past alpha to enter the $40 beta is beyond me. Hell if I didn't pass my first 2 hours and knew about this issue I wouldn't even be here.

There's probably more likely technical limitations due to the game engine being stone age technology
Yes I was in Open, I bet that was it and the relog put me in a quieter instance

Yeah, well, sarcasm aside (because some people seem to be serious about it), there's an example here:
Take GTA V. I play quite often in Story mode (with heap of mods) and this is one of the most immersive sandbox experiences out there on the market.
So, it has taxi services too. You can call taxi with your phone, then you can take back seat and enjoy the ride. Inside the car you can look around, ask driver to switch radio stations, pay driver extra to hurry up or pay a bit more to skip. Often times, when I'm the mood, I just take a ride and enjoy the scenery, but in case I need to get somewhere fast or there's some emergency, I can easily skip.
When designing this feature, why FDev is tried to reinvent the wheel when there's a clear example on how to do it right just in front of them?
I don't understand - how are you in a taxi in Horizons?
