Can we return to Custom Playlists for the media player?

Every time I log in and listen to the Galnet news, I'm reminded of how unused the built-in media player is. I think about that, and it reminds me of the Auto-Dock Blue Danube scene that transpires every time the docking computer is used. Why is this the only instance of a ship playing music in ED??

IIRC, a few years back on a forum someone said that having player-made playlists in the ship panels was planned and not produced, and I'd love for that idea to be revisited if possible.

There is no media player...
Galnet is text to speech enabled scripting...
Theres no media player..
Fdev make you launch an upto date web browser to play PR media...
Just install VLC/MPV if you require custom audio play back...

Even still, having a Playlist function, and skip-reply buttons, implies it was meant to be an audio function. My original request / point still stands.
