Can you disable snapping in Edit Group Mode?

I'm currently trying to build a Chinese themed roofing, but the snapping makes it impossible to place one piece the way I want. I really want to have the whole building in the same Editing Group, but the piece I want to use doesn't allow me to use X (Advanced Move/Rotate) which I need to place it in the correct position. The only option right now is having them in different Editing Groups, but if I do that I can't move the whole building which is important as I want to upload it to the Workshop.

Is there any way to disable snapping in Editing Group Mode or be able to use X on building pieces?

Also, can you change the Editing Group of a piece that is already placed? This would also fix my problem.

Gridded objects have to be on the same grid if they're in the same edit group, so if you've got (for example) a wall that you want at an angle, you'll need to place it in a different group (which it sounds like you are doing). However, you can select multiple edit groups (using the multi select tool in the bottom right corner) and move them together, and can load them to the workshop together... Try downloading a building with angled walls from the workshop and you'll be able to see that they're in different edit groups. You can also remove an object from an edit group by selecting it and finding the 'remove from group' (or something like that) button in the edit window. If you want to add it to another group that already exists, select the object (after separating it from the group if its already in one) and the edit group using the multi select tool then find the 'add to group' button.

Check out a couple of tutorials online too....

So I found a way to (mostly) disable snapping for walls and stuff in group edit mode. (I didn't watch the tutorial because it was too long, sry)

1. While holding a wall, look to the bottom right. Put Grid Size and Grid Height to the lowest settings.
2. Hold Shift and move your mouse. The piece will move up and down without a grid.
2,5. Hold Ctrl and move your mouse. The piece will move to the side with a very small grid.

I believe this works with every item except barriers and stuff that snaps to paths.
This also works with paths and holding Ctrl disable auto snapping to other paths.
