Cheers all, big thanks to Nosh who took time out of his evening on Teamspeak to try and help 
Changed the GUI to green, that helped a lot, and it looked great at x2 DSR but too much strain on a single 970. Looks like I'll be picking another one up in the near future along with a new psu and case I'll need...
It is an amazing sensation being in the rift, hard to describe but incredible. The arms and handsof the avatar feel like your own... bizarre
