Can't start building new stations after finishing the first one?

So after getting my "primary port" done, I found the game doesnt allow me to build new stations within the system.

Other locations still shows "Once the primary port is completed blahblah..." in the system map.

Is this some sort of bug? Or I will just have to wait until the next server tick?

Btw, I am going to name my new station this:

Same thing happened to me. It was working straight after I finished the station, but when I quit the game and came back later, it reverted to the 'not finished' state, even though the colonisation ship has left and I have a working station

I am sure, this station name motivates the developers at FDev </sarcasm>.
When I heard that stations can be named by the system architect, I expected this trajectory :(

If your first station is a small, you don't have enough system construction points for a large.

You can build another small station, a satellite, a facility, etc, until you have the 3 points you need for a large.

If it doesn't let you build any of the smaller ones, then I'm not sure.

This was always going to happen, huge mistake by Fdev, get used to this sort of crap from now on.

I'm waiting for all the cliches to be sorted then I'll start .. I think heaps of people are making their stations moving there FCs since this part of the game was just launched hence 1 hr 40 min jump times. Busy solar system at the moment.

Its too late, they should have thought of that before, not often i critisize Fdev but on this occasion they made a huge mistake, the bubble will no longer have that semi realistic emersion we once had, unfortunately a large section of the player base will descend Elite into the gutter.

They did say primary stations will only become fully operational after the Thursday update even when construction is finished, maybe it's something to do with that.

I think this is the case, new buildings will be registered to the system on thursday maintenence, FD stated that until that point your station will be a placeholder only.

On the off chance that by "this sort of crap" you mean my chosen name I would hasten to point you here as that name has close ties to the test pilot Chuck Yeager who broke the sound barrier and definitely has a legitimate place in the Elite: Dangerous galaxy.

Whilst i get the reference to the great man himself (i have many books inc his auto) im sure you can get my general idea of what is going to happen.
Luckily Fdev did protect many of the systems in lore from being colonised.

Ok, just a case of waiting your turn I guess, it will probably settle down once the number of simultaneous systems claims drops in a few weeks/months.

I can only hope this is true for me. It was weird, it allowed me to construct more things and after relogging the mission came back and it was disabled again.
