Since I don t have a screenshot in hand, try to imagine this: You are in the center of a rubicks cube
Now you can go to the top left corner in one jump but you can t go to the top right corner
They are both the same distance from where you are but there is no route to the right corner
I don t understand this at all
I thought exploration was just pointing at somewhere and going there but it seems that in order to go left you must go down for 20 jumps the right...this makes no sense to me
If someone could explain I would really appreciate because I don t understand. I know what dotted lines are but I don t understand what it also means when it says there is no route?
How could there be no route if I can see the star right next to where I am? Is it that the expanse of space there is non navigable?
most tutorials I can find on Youtube only show HOW to travel the map not why you have to go all around and do 20 jumps to get to the adjacent system and does not explain why even when you have enough fuel to do 6 jumps you can t get to that star that is virtually one jump away from you...i really don t understand the logic/lore
so thanks in advance

In that image, why can you not plot to go from DAHAN to AULIS assuming the distance to AULIS was the same as BOLG (not my screenshot so the distances are not proper this is for illustration only)
Its probably a bad example but that is what I mean by the star is virtually next door and you can t go there...
