Casual Wing Mates

Hello

I am looking for a few (at least 1) people to form a Wing. I've been playing ED for several years, but always in solo mode. I've never been in a Wing. I would consider myself a casual player, so you should be also so I don't disappoint your expectations. I currently have two ships, a Krait mk2 and a Diamondback Explorer. My Home Base is Okinura / Bennett Gateway. I am Allied with the Earth Defense Fleet (was not really planned, just worked out that way, for now). I prefer combat and exploration and hold the following ranks:

COMBAT: MASTER
TRADE: MERCHANT
EXPLORER: PIONEER

Currently have about 43 Million Credits banked. So would be nice to Wing up with some people and make some money. I am not the best credit maker, so show me the ropes, please! I think the most I've ever had at one time banked was just a tad over 100 Million doing the Rags to Riches trip.

Anyway, if you're like me, play causally and would like a friend to Wing with, hit me up and let's go for a fly. I am not into, or at least have never done, any of the community goal stuff or messed with Galnet and Powerplay... mostly just into combat, exploring and would like to get good at mining. I have my Krait supplied for both combat and mining. My DE is dedicated for exploration and has a jump range of 34 lys. Also, I have two multi-cannons that have some very slight engineering but other than that, I am all stock. I'd like to get more into Engineering, but it's a grind, Might be easier with a wing and to have someone that knows more about it than me, to so me the best way to go about it.

By the way, I play on a PC. Not sure if cross platform, PC and say XBOX works, or if everyone in a Wing need be on the same platform? Thanks! Also, looking for players from USofA, just seems like it would work better for communication and times. If you're on the West Coast, even better. I am in Los Angeles. Thanks again! :)

Thanks!

Hi there Commander BooMaya
Let me introduce you to the Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps. (ARRC for short)

Our group is fairly active and has Commanders from all over Europe and a few in the USA.
We are also rapidly growing a decent PS4 Squadron.
I'm delivering this pitch to you because It seems to me that the best way to find people to wing up with is to either go to where you will meet a lot of people (sadly, most of them will probably be gankers). or else join a group or player minor faction where there will be a community you can be a part of, with players who will be easy to wing up with..

If you want to get help , advice and company you could do worse than pop into our Discord and take a look around,
If nothing else we can steer you with good advice on exploration builds etc, and give you a place to chat with other commanders when you feel the need for a bit of company.

You are not required to join our player faction but if you do then you should know.
We don't have a lot of rules, and what we have you can read and understand in a few minutes.
Reading and agreeing to them is our only entry requirement. We also insist you take a little time to get to know us before joining.

We are a possibly one of the friendliest, small Player Minor Factions. We are a well established group of about 40 players with a presence in over 30 of the "Old Worlds"
Our base of operations is in our home system of Zaonce, Ridley Scott station.
The home of the Zaonce Fleet and the Bank of Zaonce.
Our systems include Arque, the home of Professor Palin and Tionisla, where the famous Ships Graveyard is reputed to bear permanent monument to many a brave pilot.

Time zone is GMT UK but we have a few American players and are to be found online pretty much any time.
We are actively seeking Console players, and players in the US to boost our US, PS4 and Xbox divisions.

Most of all we know a lot about the game and the best ways to quickly attain your goals.

We really don't mind who you are or where you come from. If you want to be our friends and allies then you will be.
Better still. Why not join us?

A lot of us were here in '84 and as far as game play goes we moslty bimble about engaging in pretty much whatever comes to mind.

Our activities include PVE exploration
PvP in Arque protecting commanders looking for Prof. Palin against gank squads.
PvP in a training group called "Fighter Club" (See my signature. No membership required)
Thargoid hunting in the Pleiades
Racing SLFs, SRVs and other vehicles in odd and remote locations
Driving SRVs into space stations...

Well you get the idea. Pretty much anything that's fun.
Join our forum thread and lend us your ideas.

Background Simulation or Powerplay?
Yes we also involve ourselves in the Background Simulation and Powerplay aspects of the game. Flipping systems for the Alliance, fighting to keep or control systems etc.

You pretty much couldn't find a more friendly bunch of commanders with an eye for fun and a taste for adventure always on the lookout for new and exciting things to try.

Come along and give us a go. Join our Discord channel or the Fighter Club thread, or you could apply on INARA where you will find our Faction page.

I will be mining low temp diamonds in Borann tonight and most evenings until the Fleet Carriers drop in June. I tend to play from about 18.30 GMT+1. I can let you in my private group for safety and wing up if you want to make some credits.

I've just started a player group and squadron, the After Earth Stellar Alliance [AESA] and it would be good if you joined us but no pressure. There are just a few of us and we need build up the numbers to get our own faction in game.

You can get in touch in our discord server here: https://discord.gg/kmZArfc

I play in VR so I tend to use one of the voice channels to chat to wing mates.

If you do want to join our squadron, first apply here: https://inara.cz/squadron/6693/ then we will hook you up in the in-game squad. There is just a few of us in the squad at the moment, but like I said we are a very new player groups but experienced in game.
If you have any questions get in touch, Discord probably best place to do that.

07 CMDR

Some of us are quite casual, but we don't achieve casual results.
Come join AEDC and find lots of people to wing with.
Your casual contributions to what we do will feel much more meaningful when aggregated with lots of other casuals.

Plus you can earn medals and ribbons for participating in our operations.

Pop over to the Alliance and be as casual as you like

I can offer casual, exploration and mining but probably not quite in the context you’ve been thinking...

Give a read and let me know if this looks interesting to you:

Be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Looks interesting and fun. So, how does it work? Do I just move all my ships and stuff onto the carrier and can take all my stuff along with me, or are you restricted to just taking one outfitted ship? How many people can be on one carrier, is the space limited? Thanks!

Carriers can carry up to 16 commanders along for a ride but they can store ships for an infinite number, including modules so long as they have the correct carrier modules fitted.
Most Player minor factions will be buying several.

Fleet carriers work like stations. There are 16 pads but an unlimited number of CMDRs can use them (confirmed in beta, I've been told). Each CMDR has the same 40 ship limit as in stations. Multiple modules can also be transferred. This brings the ability to change fits and even ships to deep space exploration.

Few things to keep in mind, though. First, the DSSA FCs are planning for long-term deployment. Anything you bring on the FC will not be returning for the foreseeable future. Second, any ship and module transfers should be initiated while the FC is still in the bubble. Transfers can be done way out in the black but it becomes expensive very quickly. Finally, services are dependent on what the FC owner purchases and maintains. For the DSSA Callisto, we will have refueling, repair, shipyard, outfitting, armoury (ammo, limpets, SRVs, fighters) and universal cartographics.

If you decide to come along, I'd recommend ships and/or fittings for at least two roles: scout/explorer and miner. Both your Krait Mk II and Diamondback are suitable and there is still time to work out fitting and engineering. The FleetComm Discord is a great resource there.

Many of the DSSA FCs know exectly where they will deploy. We are not one of them. We are going out to an area which has been reported to have an unusually high number of WWs and ELWs. We plan to spend our first week systematically exploring every system in a 100 cubic ly area with the goal of finding an ideal home base.
